Denise "A dentist can take a six month course and do plastic surgery so please be more responsible" As a dentist I know that yes we are allowed to take a 6 month course and perform BOTOX and only botox. This is because we have already studied the anatomy and physiology of the head and neck in depth. So your comment is inaccurate and very inappropiate. Dentists cannot take a six month course and perform invasive procedures such as breast augmentation, liposuction etc. So please do your research before making sensational comments.

If you have ever had any kind of stomach surgery you would not be such an a** about all the horrible pictures here. Weather or not the surgery was nesscery or not they paid to be changed for the better to them, not to pay some peice of sh** wanna be doctor to actually bucther them! How can you even think he is not in the wrong. You are about as smart as him.

of course this woman survived. all the incisions that she has are what are usually done with this type of surgery. look it up. this womans's issue are with the healing process. sometimes this sort of thing happens and thats the risk anyone takes with having elective surgery. she looks like she was pretty over weight to begin with, therefore what has happened to her wounds postop are really not that rare.

I think we don't know enough about what went on in this case. The thing about TMZ the reorting is so biased and slanted for shock value... I find it difficult to put much stock in what I see here or on the TV show.

I have had my stomach done and my chin done. I have never had anything this horrible happen! My stitches were fabulous and I never had triangles of skin and underskin exposed in the process. It has been 4 years since and I will get my breasts done next (reduction) and I will use the same doctor in South OC. The pictures shown are of a terribly done surgery. I wish anyone with such results the best and even though it was elective surgery, they still should get excellent treatment. You never know how it will turn out and if it is for the worst you have every right to ask for compensation to help remedy the situation...no agreement covers open wounds not healing properly!

After reviewing all of these comments, I have to agree with those of you who feel pre-op instructions and post-op care is necessary. While I do believe that it is very sad that Dr. West suffered complications after surgery, we should not be so quick to pass judgement and blame Dr. Adams. We as Americans take the side of the largest or trendiest gossip news outlet and that's not fair to those being singled out, in this case Dr. Adams. We don't know the REAL story, but rather what outlets like this want you to see. They sway your perception of the issue. Please, remember that proper research and pre/post op care is up to the patient. Also, why would you make such inflamatory judgements about those trying to defend Dr. Adams or at least make you aware of both sides of the story. If you can not contribute anything valuable to a conversation, then don't.

Anyone willing to undergo elective surgery must educate themselves on the risks, verufy the doctor's credentials, and be in excellent shape for healing. Tummy tucks have caused this problem in a lot of women- her result is not unusual. There are external factors- smoking, alcohol, poor health, and there are ALWAYS factors that affect recovery that weren't known. AS for Donde West, sadly she was well warned that a prior health condition made her a poor candidate for elective surgery. She DID know her risks, and the doctor's who would not perorm her surgery are vindicated in their judgement. Bottom line- both women were warned of risks associated with surgery. The doctor CANNOT control your ability to heal. That is out of his hands. Many people do not follow post-op care instructions TO THE LETTER ( or even pre-op instructions) and then are shocked when it doesn't turn out as they fantasized it would.

I am a nurse and I am so very sad to see the post operative condition of these wounds. It is true that many different factors go into surgeries of this type but, the fact remains that we as patients have a duty to research the doctors throughly. They need to check the doctor's mortality rates and number (if any), of patient complaints. Many patient's feel they will upset the doctor by asking too many questions, if the doctor gets that pissed off then maybe he/she is not the one for you. The after care has to be taken into consideration also. If the doctor is upset for you looking into your health before hand, then your after care may be compromised too.

If you go to the hall of records in your city your can check out doctors and all lawsuits they have had or have pending and make sure they are board certified. A dentist can take a six month course and do plastic surgery so please be more responsible. Plastic surgery is looked at as light stuff. It is as serious as any other surgery. Be smart and safe.

If this doesn't convince all people that the risks of cosmetic surgery are not worth it I don't know what will. Stop the vanity madness, eat well, exercise and learn to accept the body that you have - and learn to stop accepting or rejecting people based on how they look.

EXCUSE ME BUT THIS IS A NIGHTMARE FOR THIS PATIENT, and yes I do know what I am talking about because I was a burn victim and have had numerous plastic and reconstructive surgeries from face to limbs to trunk and let me tell those of you whom are objective about these horrific and unwarranted results here, and by the way my spouse is a medical physician...honest to goodness people this is clearly BUTCHERY from lack of *SPECIALIZED education, training, experience and skill, period and there is NO EXCUSE for this whether it be beginning or END RESULT, and by the way this is NOT from any wrong doing either by the patient, clearly. It is not the patient folks this is the DOCTORS FAULT, period. Remove the medical practice and surgeons license NOW and take this one to the courts because this woman is BUTCHERED people. Yes accidents do happen and yes things can go wrong, CLEARLY this is not the case.

rama, you sound like a hypocrite. What's the difference between a nose job (where you carve away at your very flesh) and "having a body part removed". Both are invasive surgeries and both have the potential to go wrong.

Goodness this poor woman looks to be in so much pain. No one no matter how vain deserves this kind of result.

TO THE PERSON WHO THOUGHT THEY WERE DIFFERENT STOMACHS... I looked at all of the pictures..The moles are the same in all of them.. I suspect she healed up eventually and that's the result of the LATEST picture..Or another surgeon fixed her up..
