166. This poor woman, she went in for a procedure and had noooooooo idea what she was getting into. Instead of being hard on her why don't we look at who did this to her. My heart goes out to her and others just like her. Just think this BUTCHER of a Doctor harmed so many people but unfortunally he came to light when a public figure Mother was killed by this BUTCHER!!! This BUTCHER should be jailed for life !!! And we the public should be more compassionate.
168. Gee, looks like we have a room just chock full of little armchair plastic surgeons that know all about everything.
T says he/she KNOWS that the procedure would have gone better if the patient had dieted. T is a BLAME THE VICTIM sort.
First go get your medical/surgical license. Then perfect yourself before judging others.
Oh.. and Happy Thanksgiving.
I'm thankful I don't have you around to remind everyone how perfect and well disciplined you are.
Sheesh!
169. i agree with one of the comments here.
why cant these women try to lose some weight first before going thru the surgery? i'm sure the procedures would've been easier if she hadn't had excess fat. just coz u have money, doesn't mean u can buy beauty. people need to take ownership & be proactive with their bodies. if you are obese, who are u gonna blame? the media, your neighbours, or your own mouth? have some DISCIPLINE & u won't end up like this butchered woman on the picture. there's no easy way on everything.
170. I am proud to represent the medical field because some laymen take it for granted. We are trained to do our jobs and we reach to do it well each and everytime. Most people don't want the truth and realization, they want fantasy and miracles. This woman is overweight after the surgery, just imagine how over weight she was before the surgery. People are so easy to place blame. I have a high work ethic and standard and I can not just depict this doctor as a murderer or butcher. This woman may be unhappy with her immediate outcome, but I sure she looks better even in her worst postop moment than prior to surgery and Ms West, may she rest in peace, was well aware of risk. She must have been most miserable in the life she was living, to even consider the surgery, given her unknown health status and the risk she was taking.
171. nico please take your ignorant ass to bed. if you really believe the mess you wrote. dr adams is no different from anyother american, working to make a living. i surely doubt he intended to cause harm or death, but it just happened that way and for a number of reasons
172. You can sure tell who is and isn't in the medical field with all these comments you all stick together no matter what. This man is in trouble for letting someone die and most of you are sticking up for him so what does that say about you and what kind of person you are!
173. I think that the outcome for this lady's surgery is bad, however, I truly think she did not do all that was instructed to do. Many wounds will pull open after surgery, if the patient doesn't follow instructions. I am a nurse and I see this often. Her skin does not appear to be kept clean, which can cause infections. The background of the pictures show an unkept environment. Doctors make mistakes, but not all mistakes are made by the physician, but usually doctors are prompted to take ownership of the outcome regardless. All surgeries have a risk, the risks are explained and accepted before surgery begins, so patients should also be prompted to take ownership of the outcome as well.
175. That is absolutely disgusting.
Makes me want to vomit.
I am 40 and will never do that.. I don't give a crap WHAT I look like. I like myself and I would never try to impress anyone by hacking my body to pieces.
GROSS!!
176. It appears this woman is over weight to begin with. She should have lost weight (or more weight) before undergoing the stomach surgery. Otherwise you may not get the desired look anyway. These pictures are disgusting to say the least however we don't know the full story. I personally would have done my homework before hand and made sure to see before and after photos and check the doctors credentials.
177. the only way the doctor would be at fault for this is working on her to begin with... she looks like she is in poor shape. and probably not one to take care of her self , let alone heal properly..so many people get operations and something with go wrong when healing...and they blame the doctor when its their fault for not following the directions to avoid complications like this...
178. I had breast reduction surgery performed and I decided to take a holiday during the healing process, well I ended up busting my sutures open because of the cabin pressure on the flight and as a result the wounds became infected I was in all sorts of mess. My wounds looked identical to this womans. A very unpleasant experience emotionally and physically and you think you will be burdoned with horrific scars for life, but a few years later I can barely see the scars and even though my post-op experience was extreme, i'd still do it again. It's the risk you take for altering your body.
179. I think you'll find that the people down playing the pictures (as they should) are educated and most likely in the medical field. They know the reality of post surgery complications and healing.
The people "blasting" are those who believe everything they read and see on "entertainment" telivision... and most likely only highly educated.

180. Why would a plastic surgeon operate on patients who have such large surgeries such as a combination (as happened in this horibble case) breast reduction and abdominoplasty at a surgery center (which by defintion has no inpatient and overnight monitoring)? Reason #1 Very simply they own the center and then can get all of the money. If they use someone else's center and they had a choice between it and a hospital then this is really bad judgement. The American Board of Plastic Surgery is a high standard but also a minimum standard to be a qualified plastic surgeon. If you don't have it within months to a few years of your training you cannot get hospital privleges and guess what your non-board certified plastic surgeon e.g. Dr. Rey will force you to go to a outpatient surgery center even when most plastic surgens would not do this as standard of practice.
