As a nurse, let me just say that sometimes it is NOT the surgeons fault, uninformed people don't realize that it is up to your own body how well or bad you will scar. Some people unknowingly suffer from various degrees of keloid formation and that is not up to the doctor. Sometimes people need surgery to get rid of scars from surgery and even then there's a possibility that you might scar the same way. In this picture above, both her breast lift and tummy tuck scarred badly indicating she could most likely have a not-so-glamorous way of scarring. I have seen much worse scarring, from patients who scar badly even from regular cuts.

i had a tummy tuck 5 months ago they tell you if you dont rest this will happen the tummy line is normal the opened wounds are at patients fault for NOT LISTENING! im sick of every one presuming this doctor is guilty of a crime> whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? as for my lipo and tummy tuck love it recomend it but people need to do their homework if the guy wasnt board certified then the people that had surgery didnt do their homework sad about kanyes moms
I have a friend who had almost the same surgery and hers opened up like that too, it is from removing the stapes/stitches too soon. So I don't see that it is the dr's fault. It is called dehissing and it the only way to prevent it is to leave the stitches/staples in longer than the dr says. Not to mention you are not supposed to lift or do anything stressful for 6+ weeks after having a major surgery like this, so while this woman is complaining maybe she should tell what she has been doing all this time.
OMG - This poor woman and all the rest who have been treated by him - what a NIGHTMARE. They all have my prayers and I do hope they will recover in all ways :-)
I too had a tummy tuck and a breast reduction after my third child. My surgery lasted 9 hours. I had a very bad burn mark on my hip, no one could explain why this happened. The Dr. had me in surgery way too long and people in the office were afraid to speak to me. I was contacted years back when he was also being investigated, this is not the same Doctor, but there must be a way to keep these guys from the secrecy that seems to be the professional oath that these people take.
If she hadn't overeaten and under-exercised herself into that state, she wouldn't have ever needed plastic surgery in the first place. Not even the world's best surgeon could fix that flabby mess.

So glad to read there are others out there that understand that plastic surgery does noes not mean "perfect" surgery. I'll say it again. Most people that consult a plastic surgeon about a procedure will not seriously consider the risks that are discussed in the office. Usually the risks are not only discussed but are in a written format that patients are required to read and sign. That only means that they have read and understand what they have read. Doesn't mean they really believe the risks can or will happen to them. How did this tragedy turn into a racial issue? I'm confused...
It is sad what happened to this woman. If the media would pick up on more medical things I think many people would be surprised. An OB where I live just lost a lawsuit, because he failed to tell a pregnant woman to stop taking a specific medication. The baby had to be delivered in an emergency c-section and died the following day; due to the medication. Many doctors do wrong, but it takes something happening to someone famous, or close to someone famous, to get any media attention.
Oh and some comment wanted to know how he was still able to practice.....If a complaint is not filed with the medical board they do not do anything. A doctor can have lawsuits brought against them, lose, but they keep their license with no punishment in practicing.

Thats actually pretty realistic. Incisions do open up if u dont take the rest that the doctor recommends. I had a c-section with my son and thats the same type of incision as a tummy tuck. I didnt rest like the doctor said and my incision opened up twice. It comes from too much activity. This lady is just out for attention.
Bad scarring can come from the patient. Its in their skin. THEY'RE CALLED KELOIDS! DUH!

This is just butchery. Appears The DR. needs to have his license to practice anything that involves a scaple.
REVOKED. Goes to show you don't trust anyones credentials without checking into it YOURSELF. Dont rely on OPRAH.

This is what happens when you have your hand out for something free. I bet this woman is at home looking at this site and flagging all posts that tear into her. She is jumping on the bandwagon and will probably be on all the daytime shows telling her horrible story to anyone that will listen. How much money do you think she will sue for? She better have a clean past or Dr. Adams lawyers will tear her apart. I guarantee this won't be the last we see of Mrs. Coleman.
The pictures with the surgical covering seems pretty fishy to me, there aren’t any gaping holes in the standing picture. I’m not denying the scars are bad but it takes up to 18 months for incisions to heal. They will flatten out and fade. I had a breast reduction 2 years ago and I wish my breasts looked this good 2 days later. I am fair skinned and I bruised heavily, a great color someplace between burgundy and violet. I had a reaction to the surgical tape and when the DR checked the incisions it pulled the skin causing a larger scar. My DR is very reputable I would recommend him and use him again. My scars are pretty bad, but that’s a fact of life with any surgery. The trade off between scars and chronic back pain was an easy decision. You can always have scar revision surgery if they embarrass you.
But butchery, come on, that’s a bit harsh. Even world renowned DRs cause scars. I could say I’m scarred for life, but my breast look awesome and I’m pain free.
I have seen many plastic surgery shows and some even show these results as normal. And Dr Jan is board certified. Doctors are not Gods and cant control what the patient does in her own time. Looks to me like she overexerted and pulled her stitches. the rest seemed to be healing nicely. People have the thinking that surgeries will be scar free. Not so. With a nice 2 piece cut just right, she will look great. Its expecting to much to think you will be gorgeous naked.
i dont care if this woman smoked or not. This is NOT the result of poor circulation. The pictures by her waste did NOT even heal at all. I cant believe so much attention is giving focus to this doctor over the death of Kanye's mother I know that there needs to be attention drawn to these so called "doctors" but people need to realize that he does not deserve anymore attention than hes already gotten!!! Kanye's mother is gone, and no telling how many other people he has killed in the process. Its clear that this stupid doctor along with others on E! do NOT know exactly what they are doing. These are human lifes and you should not consider yourself a doctor just because you were able to properly dissect your frog or rat in high school. its sad we dont hear anything regarding more of how much she has done for literacy of children, and the other foundations she has helped to create. Yet, we are stuck on this doctor who deserves to go to jail.
