1. I had the same procedure 4 weeks ago and OMG. My surgeon used invisible/disolving sutures with reinforcing staples in the excact area where her sutures split open. I too smoked, up until the day of my surgery and haven't lit up since. Some surgeons won't even touch you if you smoke, or make you sign a waiver. How compliant was she with post up. I spent my first week humped over and wore a binder for 4 weeks, thigh high compression hose for 4 weeks. All the money and pain going through this procedure, it's asenine not to comply. Dr. Barsky, Elmhurst , Illinois, also had me drinking soy milk and vitamins. Now that her "guts" are exposed to air, they cant suture back up again. She will have to wait intil scar tissue closes the wound and than have plastic surgery again. Long process.

2. Breast reduction surgery (more often than not) is covered by your health insurance/coverage. Now if you are a Medi-Cal patient or on any form of public assistance than you'll have a tough fight on your hands to get the surgery. If you have a doctor who will fight for you, that helps. But my HMO (which is by no means 'fancy') covers the reduction surgery.

3. This is so inapropriate! sure they cover it up but why would you put it on the internet?! ABSOLUTLEY DISPICIBLE.

4. I want to make a comment about a comment that was posted on here about try to loose the weight, going to the gym. Well for some naturally big busted women (like myself) we can not make our breasts smaller from exercising. We unfortunately did not ask to be given these big breasts and a lot of us do suffer with back problems and other problems, as in finding the right, comfortable tops to wear. I wish I could get a breast reduction but I choose to spend my money on my children instead of myself. Plastic surgery is not for all people but if it is medically necessary then it should be done. Anyone who wants to try and tell me differently can forget it. I have a cousin who is very well endowed and it caused the upper part of her back to curve over a little and she could not afford to have the surgery done, and she is not an overweight gal. But do the research on the doctor and the facility and even ask to get in touch with previous clients. Good luck to all!!!!

6. Well This is why doctors pay a very high malpractice insurance premium. I had plastic surgery but I was also healthy, exercised and ate well supplemented with healing foods and salves and...I did lots of research before I had it done. I basically got a nip and tuck not a miracle. This woman did not look healthy Most people that get plastic surgery are not healthy or informed.,,and there are certain things you must do post op that will help healing. Plastic surgery is not an exact science and everyone will heal differently. A well known Doctor in NYC told me that no surgery foolproof and there will always be RISK when surgery is involved. For everyone who is ready to start the guillotine up. DO YOUR RESEARCH!! UNDERSTAND THE RISK.

7. necrosis and plastic surgery "If the tissues is significantly lacking oxygen for a long enough period of time, necrosis (tissue death) may occur. In many cases, necrosis is not a concern, but in some surgeries where the blood supply is interrupted, the risk of circulation problems increases. Examples of these higher risk surgeries include facelifts, tummy tucks, and breast reductions, during which flaps are created separating the skin and its blood supply from underlying structures." This is a risk to all whom under go plastic surgery and can happen to smokers and nonsmokers. I was a smoker and I had no complications with my surgery. This was a risk I knew I was taking. This does not seem to be malpractice by the surgeon but an unfortunate event for this patient whom took a risk. The Media Lies and Shows Deceit!

8. Even though plastic surgery is stupid and unecessary, and even if they clearly state that you shouldn't smoke before hand, no one should have to look like that.

9. I can't belive someone could say it is her fault because she is a smoker!!!WTF...It really doesn't matter about that, no real plastic surgeon should leave someone looking like that!!! No one should have to go through this.

10. Its to bad what happened to Kanye West mother. It looks like this woman is a smoker. They ask you to stop smoking at least 2 weeks before your surgery. Looks like she did not and it looks like she started smoking during her recovery. So in someway this is her fault. The reason why they ask you to so this is so your skin can heal properly and faster smoking slows down the healing process. Again more that likely she started smoking during her recovery time and when you cough with those stitches left in you it will cause soars like that I've seen it before.

11. Oh my godness. Those sores are so disgusting! I just feel so bad for what that she has to go through. I'm speechless...

12. It is so unfortunate of what happened to Ms. West and many others who have went under the knife. However, alot of these people have screwed up mindset where they believe that a nip/tuck here and there will make them beautiful. Beauty and perfection is a state of mind. There are plenty of "ugly", "fat", who are just fine with who they are. Instead of worrying about a tummy tuck, breast reduction, nose job and all that other crap, hit the gym, push back from the dinner table and play up the features that you love about yourself. No one is perfect. And if you do decide to go under the knife, how about a little research, a few background checks, and most importantly, (especially with Kanye money) how about a second or third opinion.

14. SUE HAPPY hmmmm...in the sense that you look at this plastic surgery with intent to sue. Come on really, the doctor AS well as the patient, have a fiduciary agreement to perfect something that was man made-by the body itself. If any human being has the want to cutm stretch and open their skin to re-attach it to a different pelt of skin, for aesthic purpose-then understand and know the risk involved. Do the research. Go to the gym once a week, right? Think for a second, then do your research. You wouldnt buy a pregnancy test from the dollar store, right? You wouldnt buy a puppy from a puppy mill, right? So tell me why the heck wouldnt you do 10 minutes of research on someone that will put you under the juice, pump you with filler, or de-pump the fill in the butt? None of the above... Ladies, Gentlemen, love your body, drink some organic milk and go to the gym. OCLANEY for life y'all

15. WTF???? Is this for real??? OMG!!! The marks on this lady is horrible. It's sickening to look at. I can only image how she feels looking at that & feeling it. It's like an invitation to all sorts of infections. She's going to need someone to go back and fix the mess that doctor made. Therefore, I hope she got a decent settlement from the lawsuit because this is totally ridiculous. I really wish that Ms. West would have made herself content with the way she was instead of insisting on doing the surgery. Sometimes when you reach a certain age, you got to find some way to be happy with who you are & what you have. Even if it hurts.
