A Patient of Dr. Jan Adams

I don't think people realize that some of these situations is not because of the Dr. but because they have issues within their bodies that no one knows about. I went through a tough time healing for a year, but if you are a strong person...you can handle tough situations. I am glad I did my tummy tuck even though I had a year of this same thing....I look amazing now and I learned to be a kind and patient person. If you don't want the risk...don't do it! I have never been happier with myself and I had it as bad as this woman.

ok, first off, no one MADE any of these people get surgery done...they chose THEMSELVES to go and do that !#$@? and just because it didnt turn out the way they THOUGHT it would, doesnt make that doctor a butcher....come on!!!

Anyone that does that to someone deserves to be in jail FOR LIFE. That is just awful!!!! WHY does this man, or anyone like him, even still have their medical license??

Ok...why do people do this to themselves? No one is cutting into my body for ANY reason unless it is a medical necessity. These are wounds that are not healing correctly. It could happen to anyone who has surgery. Holy cow, is it worth it?

This is not so much "butchary" as it may be MRSA in her wounds or her inner "permanent" stitches on the stomach muscles. This happened to me and it was the fact I was having a reaction to the stitches inside of my abdomen. I had many holes, like she had and with wound care and an vacume pack for 4 months, I healed. They are finding that a lot of people are allergic to the sutures. I have pictures of mine and I have healed after a year 100%. I just was one of the few who has problems healing....it looks like she does too. I can say this because I looked the same and was worked through it, patiently.

I cant beleive all of the people defending this Dr. I have one question: Would YOU allow him to perform a procedure on you? Don't say i would NEVER have anything done, if you would would he be the Dr you chose? HELL NO, with all of you high and mighty talk, not one person who commented would allow this man to operate on you or any one you loved. Be real.

This poor woman, she went in for a procedure and had noooooooo idea what she was getting into. Instead of being hard on her why don't we look at who did this to her. My heart goes out to her and others just like her. Just think this BUTCHER of a Doctor harmed so many people but unfortunally he came to light when a public figure Mother was killed by this BUTCHER!!! This BUTCHER should be jailed for life !!! And we the public should be more compassionate.

Gee, looks like we have a room just chock full of little armchair plastic surgeons that know all about everything. T says he/she KNOWS that the procedure would have gone better if the patient had dieted. T is a BLAME THE VICTIM sort. First go get your medical/surgical license. Then perfect yourself before judging others. Oh.. and Happy Thanksgiving. I'm thankful I don't have you around to remind everyone how perfect and well disciplined you are. Sheesh!

i agree with one of the comments here. why cant these women try to lose some weight first before going thru the surgery? i'm sure the procedures would've been easier if she hadn't had excess fat. just coz u have money, doesn't mean u can buy beauty. people need to take ownership & be proactive with their bodies. if you are obese, who are u gonna blame? the media, your neighbours, or your own mouth? have some DISCIPLINE & u won't end up like this butchered woman on the picture. there's no easy way on everything.

I am proud to represent the medical field because some laymen take it for granted. We are trained to do our jobs and we reach to do it well each and everytime. Most people don't want the truth and realization, they want fantasy and miracles. This woman is overweight after the surgery, just imagine how over weight she was before the surgery. People are so easy to place blame. I have a high work ethic and standard and I can not just depict this doctor as a murderer or butcher. This woman may be unhappy with her immediate outcome, but I sure she looks better even in her worst postop moment than prior to surgery and Ms West, may she rest in peace, was well aware of risk. She must have been most miserable in the life she was living, to even consider the surgery, given her unknown health status and the risk she was taking.
