• 61. Dimension X better take care of your quite obvious anger issues!!! DX-----Haven't you heard of Freedom of Speach?? (Or does it only apply to certain people??) These blogs are a place to voice opinions! Why so much anger and hostility, Dimension X? What demons lurk in your own closet? As to Adam coming out of the closet --- most people's comments were made in a respectable and appropriate manner. And it is true---if the straight community is taking their own time to defend the freedoms and rights of gays---- then the people that they are fighting for must do the same. They can't do this if they don't evenknow who they are even fighting for.

Just because Adam has a gimic that goes along w/his talent, he should not be judged by this....look at the band, KISS....there are MANY other talents who dress not according to the "norm" ...this contest is about talent & nothing else. Both artists are superior in their own right & style & singing. It's a tough call, for they are both good. I'm for Adam 100% for many reasons. I love Kris's singing, as well, but am more inclined to Adam's singing. He is a fantastic artist & choreographer & like someone else wrote, ' who ever heard of Adam before American Idol? ' Good point...if the judges didn't think he was fit to be a contestant, then he wouldn't be on the show....he is on the show not because of his gimic, but because of his singing, period. I've never heard a voice like his, that can reach so many levels. He is truly amazing & I hope he wins !

• 64. It has been said that Excuses are lies that we tell others...... and rationalizations are lies we tell ourselves. You are doing this very thing adam when you imply that your sexuality is not an important issue adam.....and that you dont need to discuss it. This is just an excuse and rationalization!! If the extraordinary Harvey Milk (who was mentioned in other comments) had this same thought process .....gay rights and represention may have been non-existant. Voices relating to important issues need to be heard. You have the media following you adam----you have the forum to speak uo for this important issue!!!

• 65. Jeesh. Leave this kid alone. Let him fully come out when he is good and ready. He in effect is already anyways. He is not a politician, he is an entertainer - it is his decision to make. He has not made any real attempts to hide his past or who he is. He hasn't denied any photos floating around about him, He has hasn't made any attempt to remove his demo of Kiss and Tell off the internet, he has changed AI song lyrics in his studio recordings to be gender neuteral, He hasn't removed or denied his video of himself doing the "shimmy" with two other men, He left up the cabaret video where he admits he prefers to kiss men, and the list goes on. This kid oozes sexuality when he performs, both women and some men find him sexy. And believe me, most women who find him alluring and sexy do realize with about 99.999% certainty he is gay (all but a few naive tweens and teenagers) but we still find him lovely to watch. Why don't you all just enjoy his talent and let it go already.

• 66. Essentially adam is already "out" because there are pictures of him on the internet making out with another guy. So it really should be easy for him to vocally and proudly come out in spoken words and not like and as difficult as it was for--- some gay men who had to come out to their family and friends who were judgemental and clueless And people are right----he should proudly be a representative of the gay community. I wont respect him if he doesn't

• 67. So true meg. adam staying in the closet is a disservice to the gay community. The reason prop 8 passed (saving traditioal marriage)was because people with the same beliefs bannned together on the streets and had their voices heard!!!! It is time for us to hear your voice Adam--- your inner voice andspeaking voice and not just singing or screaming voice. Repesentation of the gay community (by you) would really benfit many things such as attempting to over-turn prop 8. There is more power in numbers. But the numbers start decreasing when people like adam, clay, and Lance stay in the closet and are not part of important causes.

• 69. I agree with some of the comments Adam why don't you come out and represent the gay community?? Its true that they have supported you and you should support and represent them. I agree with others who said dont be like Clay Aiken, Rickey Martin or even Lance Bass and only come out when it benefits you and no sooner....because staying in the closet does not benefit the gay community. It makes you appear ashamed of it or self serving as another person stated. you cant play both side adam. Embrace the gay community who has embraced you; otherwise you don't deserve their loyalty and votes.

I also heard that the Holocaust never really happened. Most people have sense enuf to question without blindly believing everything.

• 73. As to some previous comments--- Elaine how doyou even know adam is a beautiful person? beauty comes from within....and do you even know adam or what he is all about? Does adam even know adam and what he is all about? yes indeed harvey milk was amazing and ...he was was truly beautiful man. he was brave and courageous!!! so far adam doesn't come close. show us your beautiful and genuine side, adam. And i agree with others, dont be afraid to come out. Be true to yourself and to your fans

Adam if you wont listen to anything else please remember these 2 words......Harvey Milk He was an amazing human being who had the courage to come out during a time that it wasn't even acceptable. Adam; It is 2009 and you can afely come out. The gay coomunity cant support you if you wont support or acknowledge them. Females were heartbroken when they found out Cutie Kris had a wife. However, he was proud of her and continued to mention and include her in his AI profile. That showed his great character. Dont be ashamed to be gay adam. It is who you are.
