I cannot believe that Simon had the guts to tell David A. that the song he sang was not him. This was a Christian song and how dare him tell someone it is not who they are!! He needs to get over himself.
David A. is overrated. He can only do slow songs & most are abt peace, love & harmony. If he keeps that up his albums will never sell big. If he takes the 7th idol crown, then we all know for sure that the show is rigged. Not that he's not a good singer, but there are others that are better & have far more range, style & vocal wise.
I think a lot of people are realizing that David A is just plain overrated. Yes, he has a good voice...but the amount of praise being heaped on him is ridiculous. David Cook, Jason Castro and Brooke White are all far more talented imo.

Being born in 1981, I have to say that the guy born in '78 has the best song to sing, but the 1983 group has got some rockin' songs too. Those other songs, for the most part? Never heard of them.
But since I physically cannot watch reality shows (they literally make me cringe with embarrassment and make me uneasy. I don't know why), I guess the only thing left for me is to listen to whatever clip they will play on the Bob & Tom Show with the winner from that evening.
Here's hoping whomever wins won't make my ears bleed.

David Archuleta needs to GOOOOO!! He proved to us all that all he can sing are ballads... who wants to listen to a record full of ballads by a young kid??? If I wanted to hear ballads I would buy a Michael Bolton album..
