• 19. First of all I'll make it straight I'm black. I just don't understand why these guys who dress up when they go to the MTV or Grammy Awards, just seem to think that going to the BET Awards show is like going down the steet! Beyonce wasn't there thiis year, but I always appreciated the fact that she always tried to dress with the same elegance for EVERY Awards shows! They should care and show some respect for the event that tries to give more chance and glam to the community. I also visit TMZ everyday and even though I don't always agree with them on fashion matters, I would say that they show equal disdain and meanness to every single community!

• 20. @ Candice... Candice Candice ..have you ever read or scanned TMZ's site....??? They diss everyone and everything. You see how they got Marc Anthony yesterday?? And they are always on some starlets cottage cheese legs. Britney Spears never catches a break from these cats...neither does Paris. On the real....this has nothing to do with "white people" stealing fashion or music or who is born with what..this is about the fashion some of these stars put on at an awards show. That is all. They are poking fun at the fashion. Period. What do you think the likes of Bill Cosby would have said about what Keisha Cole had on?? What about Soulja Boy?? Yeah ..you know it to..he would have railed on them for treating the event like it is an after hours event..... The hostility in your comment was a little over the top...I just had to let you know that....

• 22. I am reading these comments and see a lot of uneducated people. The reason why black’s have BET is because back in the day MTV didn't play many black videos, that’s why the station was created, to showcase black music. And MTV still doesn't show a lot of black video’s, MTV made up there own station for hip hop music too, its called MTV Jams get real cable people. Also MTV, VH1, and BET are owned by the same company Viacom, which is run by who white people, so please do your research before you start making comments. 2nd racism still exists in this country and if you think that it doesn't then you need to read a newspaper. Get out of your bubble and read!I do not think TMZ is being racist about showing bad fashion that just so happens to be artists from the BET awards because bad fashion is bad fashion. But when you use comments like "They" it is racist because it sounds like your talking about the whole race instead of just one person.

• 24. oh my god. this is TMZ. Why is anyone even bringing up a race issue. What is racist about the article my people? You know its no more than what any of you were doing when you saw something that you didnt like one of the stars wearing! cmon i was in a household that kept cracking on folks outfits the whole night. im mixed and hell yeah, the trends last night lost the hell out of me. pull the pants up, take your shirt size down at least two sizes. wise words spoken by andre 3-stacks! Look it up. but please continue feeding the stereotypes. I can just feel the progression. thank you all

• 26. Hahaha All of these comments are funny. Seriously, some of the people who comment need to learn how to type properly. THEY'RE the ones who are racist, since they only notice the ONE post on 'black' people, when there is like a MILLION other posts criticising 'white' people.. Like someone has said before, 'black' people were treated badly in the PAST. It's nothing WE present people have done or have contributed to, and there's nothing we can do to change it. Get over it already. You want equality, well this is equality. You get treated EXACTLY the same as everyone else. THOSE are the people that keep the racist issue alive. They need a sense of humour, LIGHTEN UP PEOPLE!!! It's the 21st century.

• 27. does EVERYTHING have to be a damn race issue? no matter what it is, the race card is always pulled. get off your high horse. it's racist enough that there can be an awards show, let alone a tv station, made strictly for african americans made up of only african americans, if white people did that, there would be riots.

• 28. I was raised to believe that if you walk out of the house looking like a freak, then you deserved to be talked about! It's not the color of the skin but the horror of the fashion. And let's face it most of you that are throwing out the race card would not be caught dead in some of those outfits. As a black man I do have to say enough is enough!!!! I mean look at Solange"s wig.......You know I'm right!!!!!!
