(cont'd)There are other more respectful and tactful ways of addressing your dislike for ones attire, while also maintaining the respect you claim to have for that person(s). Whoever came up with the idea to deem the outfit with such a distasteful, disrespectful, and classless title obviously lacks respect for him or herself as well as women. So often people, especially in this country, are so hung up on attacking each other because we simply do not agree or share the same opinions and views of life. Unfortunately, this problem, is what has served as the plague and tremendous setback in America. For anyone who reads this remember to love yourself, respect yourself, and do the same for others.
TMZ should not have used the word "roboho" to refer to any person regardless of their race. Any word or phrase that contains the word ?#@!$ is disrespectful and demeaning to women, and it should not be tolerated in our society. There is no way to glamorize or transform the negative connotation of that word which has continued to plague the human lexicon for centuries. It should not have even been a thought for them to use the word $#!@? to supplement the description of her robotic costume.
This isn't a race issue, pure an simple. If people choose to take offense to the comment on a personal or feminist level, be my guest. TMZ has said much fouler things about many other women (and men)and hasn't caused this degree of uproar before.
Who is Al Sharpton to get into every body elses business anyway? Plus how come everytime he does he always screams racism! Thats all we hear not everything is racism. Its pathetic, he is just trying to make a name for himself so he can go down in history. I didn't hear anything from Beyonce trying to defend herself, why is that? because she doesnt care and neither should Al Sharpton. Get a life especially one thats your's and not anyone elses.
These people who prostitute themselves, thrown in the media so R. Simmons and others make big money these ignorant folks bring in. It's not their talent that is promoted, it is their outlandish dress, actions and inability to monitor their words and behaviors with disregard for responsibility that make them fun to watch. Fun, because that is what normal people make of them as they watch and hear them. They are a disgrace but should be pitted. Nobody they work for spends time prepping or educating them so they can express and tell their stories in an educated clear manner. Real money-makers know one secret these poor pathetic folks aren't privy to, "Education Knowledge is Power". Power is just what the folks promoting them do NOT want them to have. Yes, they can have big homes, clothes, designer this, that and the other, but NOT POWER!
Big Al is looking for attention. Is he really standing up for Beyonce and all women or just looking to draw more attention to his-I am so self important- self! Hey Big Al why don't you get a real job, homeboy!
they said her performance was "roboho" you should read things more intently before you consider something racist. i'm black and i didn't find what they said racist at all. apparently it's okay to call paris hilton a skank or whore but when the tables are turned people wanna get all mad.
Everyone need to stop being so touchy. Lets face it all them people looked bad, everyone they metioned could have had on something different. Lets not always pull the race it's getting real old and tired. Lets stop acting like they say anything bad about white people because we all know they do. If you look bad you look bad your race should have nothing to do with it. A white man/woman should be able to say a black woman/man look bad without every black person getting offfended, matter of fact you should more offended that them artist allow themselves to look like that. Don't get mad when the truth is said!!!
I am an African American and I wear my color proudly. TMZ's comments were not at all racist, however the comments made by some of the disgusting biggots who view this site were. African Americans, we have to stop blaming everyone and complaining about comments. THe ignorance portrayed by some of the other races doesn't reflect that entire race. I have many caucasion friends who stand up for African americans. We shall not let the comments made by these ignorant pompus biggots spoil a great night like the BET Awards. I just think its so funny that TMZ only put the fashion NO No"s when there was so many nicely dressed such as Ciara, Rihanna, Don Cheadle, Diana Ross etc. Racism will never end because there will always be a rcist amongst the beautiful melting pot we call the United States.
Is there a TV station TODAY that is ALL white? I can’t think of a one. On BET, can you think of ONE white person that is been a host or on a show, or has been well known from being on BET? You can rest assured that if there was a WET (white entertainment television) some people would be outraged. BET may not be racist, but they could be a bit more culturally diverse, I can understand how some could make that judgment call. And I dont care what anyone says the things written under these pictures is funny as hell.
The reason that BET was created was because white people did not let black people show in movies or TV... so NO BET is not racist against white people..please. You can't be serious. I'm not black but I've heard so many people say "BET is racist against white people blah blah blah" and I think it's just rediculous. Seriously... get over it. If you're claiming you're not racist then why would you make a comment like that against black people and how they make money or have their own TV station? Just a thought.
I'm also a woman of many colors and I didn't really see anything racist at all.. who don't make fun of people when you see them at their worst, funniest or catching them off guard..
ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST FOR TMZ... Hope yall rating catch the Plague... Done with yall for good PEACE OUT!
