1. Just an FYI people....cold sores ARE Herpes. Chancre sores are NOT. They are 2 totally different things. Typically cold sores are caused by Herpes Simplex type 1, and type 2 is genital (although they are not inclusive to those locations). I found the post above funny that said "I get a cold sores but I do not have Herpes." Ummm, yes you do. LOL. BTW, I am an RN.

2. Some of those are really gross, and definitely look like more than a cold sore. Cold sores don't necessarily equal herpes. I've had maybe four or five cold sores in my life -- I think I got it from my mother, because she gets them occasionally, too -- but I certainly don't have herpes. I haven't had a cold sore in about five years, but next time I get one it's going to be so much worse because I'll know everyone who sees me thinks I have herpes. Which I don't!

3. I think it's time for some valtrex. Would also like to add that more than 1/2 of all the people in the world are infected with some form of herpes virus. IF you get a canker sore...herpes. if you get a cold sore...herpes. Some things that appear to be acne..herpes. The virus spreads along the central nervous system...and therefore can develope anywhere on the body, so you never know where it will show up... And canker sores can and will cause genital herpes...just not the HSV2 type if they are the HSV1 type of canker sore...but who cares which one you have HSV1 HSV2 it's still herpes...the most common chronic virus in human beings..go get some valtrex..

5. Obviously more than one of them had lips that were burned by a crack pipe (or meth pipe, or any other glass tube used to smoke drugs). I've never done those things, but I know people who have. There are definitely some burns in there. Some looked like really bad chapped lips. Some are cold sores. Others are herpes. And Katie Holmes just looks disgusting.

6. ok all of you people saying that cold sores are the same as genital herpes and that its an std are idiots. Herpes Simplex is what causes cold sores. it is a TOTALLY different version of the herpes virus. I KNOW BECAUSE I HAVE IT!!! ive been getting cold sores since i was 6!! and it is genetic! the herpes vires is a mutation in your dna where the virus attacks your membrane in your lips. several things trigger it. stress, over exposure to sun, and very acidic foods. its only contagious when you have the sore. both me and my mother have it and neither of our spouses have it. its very normal and yes there is medications but it takes TIME for them to work!! so everyone whose saying its gross and that they need to get the meds need to shut up! they are probably on the meds but they dont go away right off the bat!! people are so vain. they may be celebrities but they are still HUMAN!!

ONLY A SWAB TEST CAN DISTINGUISH WHICH VIRUS IS CAUSING THE OUTBREAK "cold sore" is a nickname for oral herpes that suggests that its different (or better) than having herpes. ITS THE SAME THING. Some people have no symptoms at all but carry either or both. YOU CAN SPREAD HERPES W/O AN OUTBREAK (asymptomatic shedding). Always tell your partner if you have herpes before kissing them or having sex with them WARNING!!!!: a "full STD" screening does not automatically include an HSV test!!! WOW CONSPIRACY MUCH? (valtrex costs 300$ go figure) Ask for HSV tests specfically. There IS a cure for herpes as well as HIV and other stuff but of course your doc aint gonna tell you about it LMAO

11. The Media and the public needs to respect Michael’s children. They need space and family (immediate and extended {entertainment figures, and fans}) Yes, the people want to be update on how the children are doing. NO NEED to have the isolate their selves and fear the Media-as they go out into the community. To the MEDIA PLEASE KEEP it Respectable by showing them the RESPECT so they be children and grow up during the years to come with respectable media coverage not the stampede that anyone in the right state of mind would be overwhelmed by! Let’s take care of the children not destroy them like we did his father! (Sadly, we the public help feed Michael’s illness by not showing him we care when he was alive. We can STOP and do the RIGHT thing by his children from this day forward!)RIP Michael, You did a great job with parenting your remarkable children now you family,friends,and fans can help while you guide them from above.

13. It's very easy to catch the virus and it is NOT the form of herpes that known as genital herpes. Got it? Repeat it until it gets into your brain. Of course it is not advisable to have sex with an oral herpes outbreak. Also, the virus stays in the skin where the breakouts were, so you can be kissing a perfectly looking person and getting the virus. Also to Heather, very produ that she's not contracting the virus. Dear, have a blood test for oral herpes and you'll turn out positive. Most likely your immune system is awsome this far.

14. Get some medication...seriously! There is no need for STARS to have these great big herpes sores! These people have TONS of money, but can't get to the Dr.'s office, and get a prescription.
