• 17. Okay, sure cold sores are not something you want to see on your favorite celebrity. However, most of you people don't realize that they have them too! Have you ever had the chicken pox? Yep, that's a form of herpes. By the time we reach 50, 3 in 5 people will have a form of herpes. Get over it people.

First off, cold sores are not inherited, since when is there a gene that encodes a viral infection, but if it makes you feel better to assume that it is inherited, then good luck with that concept. Family members who have cold sores can pass the virus to other family members from kissing. Family members are infamous for kissing babies on the lips. If your mother has genital herpes, a baby can obtain from the birth canal. Yes,cold sores are herpes.

• 22. Hi to all readers, I'm sorry but i have to write this (maybe off topic) after reading many topics on this site. I really dont understand why you people always talk about race and color. I'm Dutch and i'm really shocked to see that in almost every topic people are talking about race and color.( and not in a lets say a nice way) Why are you doing that? Its so dumb and old fashion. • 23. Actually my husband gets them often and I have never ever contracted one from him; some people do not carry the virus therefore cannot contract it. I am a lucky one.

• 26. Seriously....how in the world did race enter the conversation of cold sores??? What in the world does it have to do with White and black? It is a freaking cold sore...get over it!! Everyone can get it...EVERYONE!! Be careful of who you kiss and when you kiss them (not during an outbreak) and you will be ok. Sorry to say but it can be passed by touching the same thing as well...so it can really happen anytime-anywhere. I have had them all my life and they run in my family. I find it sad that people would make fun of others for this..it is something NO ONE can help!! And my goodness, stop brining race into it!! I am actually glad to see that celebrities are like everyone else. And PS...I am African American!!!

• 27. For those who have posted about their breakouts, you can not only cut down on the frequency of breakouts, but also the potency of them. Do not eat any nuts, chocolate, eggs, cut down on meats and eat more vegetables. Nuts and eggs will give me an outbreak almost immediately. I used to have raging cold sore outbreaks about twice a year, now I have one minor outbreak every three or four years. I'm no longer a slave to this curse that my aunt bestowed upon me (yeah, I know fucked up huh?).

• 30. Why would anyone want to be with a celebrity after looking at this??? People think these people are wholesome because they have money, but the truth is that most are walking std's because they go back and forth with each other within the same circles.
