That kind of character and truthfulness is not often broadcast. She is a true winner and a much bigger celebrity than "what's his name". Even though her belief system didn't coincide with the judges she didn't reduce herself to berating him. He however showed no character, class, discipline or control. Why is he a judge? Good luck Carrie in whatever pursuits you have and no matter what fame falls your way-stay true to yourself.

  • 437. I don't agree of how she feels towards the gay community and their rights, but I do agree that gay is a choice. I just don't think that she should attacked or booed becauseshe was being real and wasn't faking like probably the other bitches were just so they could win. I mean, look at some of the past Miss USA winners. Being fake got their faces humiliated because they weren't what they seemed at the pageant. I'm just saying we all gotta be real and accept people's answers though we may disagree. It's America and being real is beautiful, and please, let's not forget our first ammendment!

  • 438. First, in response to the comment made by Rich....while there is no solid proof that men and women are genetically homosexual, it should be noted the gay men and women have extreme physiological differences from out straight counter-parts. Portions of gay mens brain are feminized while lesbians are masculinized in corresponding areas. Please see the Washingposts article for details. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/06/22/AR2008062201994.html As for Miss Cal, While she did answer the question in accordance to her faith and beliefs, she could have asnwered in a more tactful way without compromising her own thoughts/agenda.

  • 439. All those women in California, and this is the best they can do? Damn....Ms North Carolina had much greater natural beauty than this girl. Something just doesn't look right on her. I think the word I'm looking for is fake maybe? And screw that f@ggot Perez Hilton. Why hasn't AIDS taken it's course on that butt pirate yet?

  • 440. Carrie is a true hero! Now that Perez has revealed himself as an intolerant bigot who gives gays a bad name, maybe his 10 minutes of fame will be over.

  • 441. Three or four years from now no one will remember the name of Miss USA... But we will never forget the courage and light Carrie showed in this pageant.. Thanks Carrie! You are an inspiration. We love you!

  • 442. I feel that Miss California did an outstanding job!,speaking what she believes, speaking the truth.when so many others would have caved to the pressure. So GOD bless Miss California, and remember our rewards are in Heaven, and as for Mr.perez,He made a statement, that religion and politics don't belong in the pageant.Well neither does gay rights questions.it's a controversial issue, one that shouldn't have been broached.

  • 444. What Carrie did was commendable and may God bless her for standing strong in her faith. Perez, for real? I cant believe how the media is giving some 'blogger' any credit at all!! Seriously, giving him of all people credibility??!!! Carrie did the right thing, stated what she believed in. She did not go up and say anything hateful. All of these people that are being so hateful and vile towards her, need to grow up!! These same people that preach acceptance and tolerance, should show some of that respect her way as well. Good for her

  • 445. For the Real Record: CARRIE PREJEAN Won The TITLE FARILY! Misssssssss. Perez HILTON Clearly STOLED The CROWN From Carrie Just To Satisfy His Own Personal Political Agenda. Secondly, You have Chosen to be gay! There is NO Scientific Evidence that gay man has given BIRTH to another gay man! Therefore, You "CHOOSE" to be gay. Moreover, we CALIFORNIANS Voted 3X That Marriage is between a Man & WOMAN! If Misssssssssss. Perez HILTON wants to keep choosing his gay lifestyle then so be it but STOP Forcing us to give you SPECIAL Rights! Furthermore, being gay is nothing but a "CHOSEN" Lifestyle! We CALIFORNIANS are tired of your lies, deception, & Manipulations! Finally, We Californians have the STRONGEST ECONOMY, Most ENLISTED Men in the USA MILITARY, GREATES Weather, & Most FEARLESS State of The UNION! STOP Your Deception.............

  • 446. Yeah, the question was tough. Yeah, she gave her beliefs. But the Miss America pageant is largely about appearances. You cut out A LOT of fans and judges by being so anti-gay. Furthermore, if you're going to give an opinion say WHY. Back it up. She said the environment she grew up in didn't support homosexuals. She could've at least made it sound like she was thinking for herself.

  • 447. You hang in there Carrie, and please don't take Perez up on his invitation to have coffee. He doesn't deserve your time.

  • 448. Carrie Prejean will enjoy many blessings because she stood her ground. Donald Trump should select his judges more carefully and avoid coxcombs. ("Nature has sometimes made a fool, but a coxcomb is always of man's own making" -- Joseph Addison)

  • 449. the real reason hilton called her a b---- is she is the woman he wants to be

  • 450. Thank you Carrie, you are an inspiration. We are constantly getting gay shoved down our throats and its refreshing to hear a straight person stand on her convictions. We are a spirtually dead country doing whatever we please with no moral rules.
