1. Ashlee Simpson's is just like her and her family - more money than good taste. Someone designed a lot of house with a lot of different design elements but not in a cohesive manner. Avril's is similar but a bit better. Brit's LA mansion looks like it was done by people who don't know how to build that big and really doesnt look like $3 mil. The Spelling manse would make a decent lodge getaway. The Murphy place is just plain garish, but also lodge material. Affleck pad looks like a whimsical dollhouse crammed on a tiny plot. Banderas-Griffith is just plain blah. Sure, a lot of them do entertain family and friends in a big way and like to have a big home to accommodate everyone comfortably. It's not like any of you have any idea what they do with their homes, so you have absolutely no right to trash their big homes.

2. Travolta's house really is an eyesore , big, flat ugly roof with all the long, narrow wings make it look like a motel on the interstate, as the unfortunate Arquette-Cox home does. The Smith's house is equally icky and Brad Pitt's house is rather pitiful looking, reminding me of a fast food joint. Rod Stewart's house is very tastefully done, as is Larry King's, Goldie's and - showing good planning and design. Oprah's is magnificent and it is not anyone's business how she spends her money, especially with all the money she gives away. She also entertains a lot of important guests. The haters are just jealous of her super success. Stallone's misses the boat with poor planning - looks like they kept adding chunks here and there with no attention to existing buildings. JLo's is pretty much the same - Seacrest's looks a bit better planned, as does Ahhnold's crib. Cher's is well planned and Sandra Bullock's is simple and attractive just as she is.

4. Hey Oprah, did your "Angel Network" buy your house for you???? How dare you ask your viewers to donate their hard-earned money to your charity, while you are sitting in a $55 million home (which is just one of many you have) -- what NERVE!!!!! Most people are scraping money to get them through the week -- why don't you sell this house and feed all of Africa with it for the next 100 years. Just a thought.....

6. This just shows SOME of the celebs are over paid and excessive and why you shouldnt feel ALL that sorry for them when the limelight fades and they get into trouble. Ashlee Simpson is a good case in point. Basically famous for her no talent sister and lives in a place like THAT? Does she honestly think her money is going to last? Or Travolta. He has been in 2-3 movies that were halfway decent in the last 30 movies and that is it. And his wife isn't burning up the good reviews either. Theyy must of invested well in what little they are worth. Simpson especially.

7. FYI.. the house that Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell own is worth way more than 3 million!.... It's worth more like 7-12 million. 2 million in vancouver would buy you a shack on the highway... (land value only). Vancouver is a highly overpriced city... and I don't know why?

10. OMG! These homes are way over the top for these richy people. Maybe they need to come down to earth. Yes they have money, but come on who needs all those bathrooms and bedrooms. They don't use them all and it would takes months to even spend quality time in all those rooms. Also, with the houses being that big and their kids scattered throughout the house how do they know where they are at and do they really care? Do they really spend quality time with them because they can't find them. Oh, maybe the kids are at the other end of the house with the nanny so they don't have to be bothered with. I will stay in my little down to earth 2 bed, 1 bath bungalow.

11. Don't know about anyone else, but in my own humble opinion...........they all look pretty blooming ugly. I'd rather have a smaller place where I could actually find my husband,children and friends and a small farm and give the rest of the money to others. But then....I'm not a Movie Star. I'm just a bit ordinary, except for the odd quirk, like generosity.

15. It is so ironic and shamefulllllll, That Mark Anthony has this tremendous mansion living with JLO, and i wish all of you could you see where Dyanara his x wife lives with his other children.
