• 62. i have passed by candy spellings mansion on a tour bus on holiday in la some yrs back, i took a picture of part of it cos the brick work is fantastic!! money talks, bs walks!!. now you can actually see what they spent the money on ... its a pity she doesnt allow the world(who can afford it ) the opportunity to enjoy such a labour of love.. (i would have opened up an exclusive small boutique hotel on the grounds and still had enough room to ensure my privacy..) there a quite a few mansions like that on beverly hills. there was another one not shown in these pics, that was built like an eqyptian pyramid sort of and apparently lived in by a lone woman and child.. very strange..

• 63. The rich pay A LOT in taxes. And then, when they die, they cannot even leave what they've earned to their children because the estate and death taxes will take most of it, even though this money was already taxed while they were alive. Stupid system. These houses are just awful. Who needs that kind of space? I think a lot of these celebs must be lonely and I feel sorry for the kids.

One thing is obvious, the person who wrote this article,and probably all of you, doesnt know what "Alhambra" is.That mansion does not look at all like the SPANISH monument located in Granada,Spain, and built during the occupation of the moors.It is also very funny that any house with ceramic roofing and painted in natural colours (white,sand...) is automatically "Mediterranean style".You should read a bit about architecture,geography and history.

• 69. Hey people - Peg is stating the truth. Rich people are rich because they do everything to get out of paying taxes. The working, middle class are stuck paying the most. I hope everyone saved their stimulus check and did not blow it on something stupid. You are going to need that check to pay for your $5.00+ a gallon gas.

• 72. The celebrity homes are much like their owners.. All nicely manicured and beautiful on the outside ... and all mucked up in the inside. How many reality show "celebrities" have had their pet crap and piss all over the place. Here are just a few: Jessica Simpson, Hugh Hefner, Denise Richards, The Osbournes and Paris Hilton/Nicole Richie... These homes, like their owners, are all incredible on the outside and full of CRAP on the inside. Have a nice day.

• 74. These pictures are ridiculous. Talk about living in excess.. People are struggling to put $4/gallon gas in their cars and these fools are spending money like it grows on trees? Unbelievable. A-list actors are the most OVERPAID creatures to exist, besides "supermodels". I read a line once and it reminds me of this nonsense. When you drive by someone's home and you're jealous - just remember that you don't know what goes on behind closed doors.
