• 47. Chastity Bono always thought she should have been born a male and was never happy as a female. This change is not something that came overnight. She made the "final" decision 5 years ago to make the change. S/he spent 2 years in counseling (once you start the process you don't go back), another year living as a man, and then started the process to undergo the internal and external changes. The hormones he is taking will pack on the pounds because you're overloading yourself with testosterone that will battle the estrogen. In about 3 years he'll start to look thinner. We should be encouraging him, not ridiculing him.

• 51. I find it very strange that in old pictures of "Chastity" she has lipstick on and not looking bad at all - not even mannish. Why didn't she act like a man before. There are a lot of tomboy girls around gay or straight. Now all of a sudden this sex change. I just wonder if he knows who he is. Chaz needs to get his weight under control and now he looks awful even for a "man". He was on celebrity fit club (weight loss only lasted a bit) which obviously tells me he has lots of emotional issues thus the emotional eating. I hope he gets his life and head straightened out with this operation but needs to get healthy first. Good luck to Chaz.

• 57. I believe that the Lord calls us in to play the game, not to keep score. Once again, the media has blown something waaayyyyyy out of proportion, and once again it's reflecting badly on a situation that is really not for anyone else to judge. Did it ever occur to anyone that the extra (and perhaps deadly) weight that Chaz has put on is based upon the psychology that if he gets bigger and "more solid", he will be more like a guy and feel more comfortable? Uh, look at the hair, folks. That's not a female cut, and is something else that makes him feel better. This is a showbiz kid who is trying to find his identity. That doesn't surprise me at all, considering the things he's gone through in his life.
