  • 46. James, 1998 was warmer than 2005 and the hottest year on record is 1934; The third hottest year on record was 1921; Three of the five hottest years on record occurred before 1940; and Six of the top 10 hottest years occurred prior to 90 percent of the growth in greenhouse gas emissions during the last century. You cannot respond with a reasonable argument so you constantly resort to name calling. If anyone is writing bogus information it is you.

  • 47. the military can not be used for law and order purposes. this would be marshall law , which is not allowed. i think the help needed in new orleans was food aid for all those people at the dome. old people passed away at the dome as bush watched on t.v. it is legal for the military to aid during natural disasters, but they can't enfoce law in order.

  • 48. The president cannot use the Marines to maintain law and order within the U.S. except where expressly authorized by Constitution or Congress.

  • 49. mark it sounds like you are cherry picking data. 2005 was the hottest year on record. the coast guard like kitty says falls under homeland security, but is considered part of the military. check out the home page of coast guard. even the bush administration has finally admitted global warming is real after years of intimidating goverment scientists and changing their findings in their scientific reports. One of the bush administration aids edited a report on global warming and had no scientific background. this aid is no longer there. guess where he is now? suprise! suprise! he now works for the oil companies. wake up and quit drinking michael savage's poison koolaid. i can't wait another half hour for you to make up some bogus response so good night to you.

  • 50. Global warmering? It was 36 degrees in Ohio last night May 28th 2008. Look up tempatures and see what the averages were in past years. Feels like global cooling to me me. Go figure. I think its oil companies trying to raise my heating bills. Got to blame someone!

  • 51. The Coast Guard is not part of the DOD. If it were it would be subject to the Posse Comitatus Act - which prohibits federal military forces from being used to maintain law and order within the U.S.

  • 52. "James, One more thing. The president does not have the athority to use the military until he is asked for help by the state needing the help." Actually he can use the Marines for up to 30 days without anyone elses approval, hence why they are called the Presidents force.

  • 53. James, The average temperatures over the last 8 years have cooled. The warming that is mentioned is real but you have to understand that it is measured from a specific time frame - 1850's , the end of the mini ice age. But to your comment - Global warming and air polution are two different issues. To make the leap that because I reject the Junk Science of global warming means that I want dirty air and do not care about the children is exactly the problem with the political climate today in the USA. I will post an address for the pettition shortly.

  • 54. "James, The US Coast Guard is part of the dept of Transpertation. Not part of the Military" Actually they are now a part of department of homeland security and considered members of the dod, that change da few years back

  • 55. George Bush is a freakin fudgepackin #$@!? His favorite saying is. "Who's got the Vaseline?"

  • 56. James, The US Coast Guard is part of the dept of Transpertation. Not part of the Military

  • 57. cool flag

  • 58. bush looks drunk in those pictures. Am i wrong or wasn't he busted for dwi before he came prez?

  • 59. Bush is a complete friggin' moron and needs to just spend the rest of his time in office hiding out at his ranch--it's all he's good at, and all he's good for. I can't wait to have a democrat in office!! Go f*ck yourself, Bush!
