Able to stand for the nation when we need it yet very understandable. She seems so busy and rightly so proving that she is as tough as the boys that she is forgetting her strengths as a woman. I'll be honest, as a woman, I want to see a woman in office. However, I do want a change in this country. I can see in Obama that feeling of passion for changing things around. Huckabee on the repubs side has the compassion. Hillary should borrow pages from them on desirable traits and form her own path as a woman in this race. I always thought Katie Couric was too well polished and sleek for the nightime news. She doesn't offer comfort after a harrowing news day to the viewers and she doesn't offer strength like a male would. Hillary is a lot like this.

  • 152. Whether we like it or not,folks...appearance DOES matter(male or female!). Hillary could soften her look - would it kill her to wear warmer colors and something less stiff and angular (too military-looking). How about some rayon, some cashmere, something! If people are too distracted by your appearance, facial expressions, voice, you name it...they CAN'T concentrate on what you're saying. It matters, it matters, it matters.

  • 153. I really think this whole thing about her clothes is just trying to make something out of nothing. Just like the question "Oh, is America ready for a woman in the White House? Or a black man?" Sure they are, but when the woman and black man are both spewing ideas that are completely backwards from how alot of people feel, it's hard to support them. It's hard to support someone whose solution to the worlds problems is to put a gun to someones head and use the power of government to take from them what they have worked hard and earned and give it to someone who has not. And then if you say you don't agree with them then you're labeled as "imcompassionate" when really I'm just realistic.

  • 154. The reason Hillary Clinton didn't do so well in the caucus in Iowa, was really not because of her clothes, but because she represents "The Establishment" - nothing new, nothing fresh, no change. The L.A. Times has reported numerous times that she has accepted money from the large established health care companies, and is beholdin' to them and lobbyists. America is afraid she won't care enough to represent the average American, and won't try to get us out of Iraq, and won't try to set up a real national health care system. It's not her clothes, it's her do-nothing policies that make her unpopular.

  • 155. Grow up America. Us the PEOPLE are the problem, as we dump our garbage onto others, instead of cleaning up our own "houses" Cookie sheet shallow describes all our minds when obsessing about who wears what. Only inner Peace promotes outer Peace. Who amongst us could stand up to the attacks that we shower on others. Thousands are pushed to suicide because of this kind of treatment. HELP GROW THE ROSES INSTEAD OF CRUSHING THEM. This is no less than schoolyard bullying. What kind of example are we setting our children? Men have run the world for aeons of time, and look what a mess it is in. Alcoholism, drug abuse, domestic abuse, child abuse/molestation,homeslessness, sexual abuse are rampant!

  • 156. She looks like a lawyer. I know John Edwards IS a lawyer, but he doesn't try to come across as one. I do NOT want this woman in the White House. (If anyone cares, I'm an independent)

  • 157. Wow, putting up that a canidates fashion sense is the reason that they lose a caucus, it explains alot why we have a moron like bush running the country! People are so shallow anymore, Get a brain and research your canidates!

  • 158. The USA really is in very a bad state. This schewed piece on "fashion" has certainly done it's job of indicting Hillary's ability to lead by the clothing she wears. That is too rich. If that's the case, then we should've known all along that George W Bush was an ignorant redneck who would embarrass this country. To Jill, who replied why would you want a menopausal woman running this country? I say to you that I'm sorry you've been told you're a little woman and less than a man your whole life. To say that the female ability to rationalize and lead is determined by their hormonal levels is completely misogynisitic and shallow. It's time we chose our leaders because of their position on issues not because you like the color of their tie.

  • 159. Anyone of these Dems will far out do the idiot we have representing us now. He is so busy sending ourmen and women to police the worlds problems. Bush is a fool and so are the many Americans that think should be prez. Duh...

  • 160. To Susan: Iowa is a swing state in presidential elections, and in the caucus, Democrats report their numbers differently. This year, nearly 239,000 Democrats voted--nearly twice the Republican turnout--and it's looking like Iowa will be a "blue" state. The Boston Globe said the Democratic turnout shattered records: http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/01/04/its_huckabee_obama/ It's confusing because the Democrats report the results more along the guidelines of the Electoral College. Try this link for a good explanation: http://blogs.britannica.com/blog/main/2007/11/the-iowa-caucuses-are-like-the-electoral-college-at-least-for-democrats/

  • 161. I hope we continue to see the wheels falling off the Clinton War Wagon

  • 162. Sadly, Hillary does not have the "it" factor. Obama and Edwards do not have "it" either, IMO. The Dems do not have any depth to their bench. It worries me. On to another matter, I find it amusing how the newspapers and television editors are reporting the Iowa voting results. Few are actually giving the public the facts: Huckabee received about 38,000+ votes. Obama received about 940 votes and I've yet to read the actual vote counts received by Clinton, Edwards and the others in both parties.

  • 163. Well said 10:02 ! Bill Cunton's last term in office nearly killed me. I would rather see JUST ABOUT ANYONE ELSE in office than her ! Realize people, there is SO MUCH we aren't privy to like the President...There is so much going on that no one knows about, we need someone who's going to be able to go toe to toe with madmen. We'd probably kill ourselves if we knew 1/8 of what terror is happening. I don't think there is an ideal candidate this time, but PLEASE, PLEASE, No Hillary. That family made fools enough of this country & the world the LAST go around. MY MEMORY ISN'T AS SHORT AS THEY'D LIKE MOST VOTERS TO BE.

  • 164. Ask Hilary where she stands. She stands for everything, everywhere. She refuses to alienate any group, including the wacko far left. Let's see, Chinese contributions, poisonous Chinese products, BJ's in oval office during work hours, and the sellout of America to Mexico(NAFTA and China,)911(why did you back off the Osama hit?), and a wishy-washy attitude. Why anyone would want another Clinton in office is beyond me.

  • 165. Listen, when will you folks understand that likeability isn't the best formula for a president? Hilary's strong woman stance shouldn't be degraded, it should be celebrated that women can come in different forms. Obama has no experience! None. And he ducks votes that won't help him politically. At least Hilary shows up. I hope you folks don't make a mistake and elect a man that doesn't have any experience, but is likeable...the current president came across as very likeable compared to Gore and look where we are now.
