I don't understand why everyone keeps complaining that DWTS is getting "has-beens" and "nobodies". What are you expecting?....more garbage like Lohan, Hilton, and Spears? Come on now, haven't we seen enough of their trashy behavior. Sit back and enjoy, you might be pleasantly surprised. After all, the bigger names are quite a bit busier and can't take that much time off.
I for one think the show is doing a great job. Keep up the good work. In my oppinion, the only improvement that I see needs to be made is, a new co-host for Tom!
I had never heard of Apollo before Dancing with the Stars; he is certainly a star in my books now.
The show is about DANCING! Good dancing is entertaining regardless of who is doing the dancing.
I think we all need to wait until the show starts this season to pass judgment. Did anyone really think that Emmett Smith would win in his season and look how far he came and I for one grew to love him that season. All I am saying is that we need to give these people a chance and alot of them might very well surprise us. Nia Peebles will be billiant I think, after being on Fame and then all the Martial Arts she did on the TV Series Walker. Mark Cuban should be good too- he was a disco instructor earlier in life. I for one am very excited about the new season to start and can not wait to see how they all do and who I will ultimately be rooting for. I give all these stars alot of credit for committing to this show, for most of them it will be out of thier comfort zones and I applaud that !
Wow.... It is obvious by the comments that DWTS has a devoted "younger" viewership..... and maybe.... the baby boomer producers of the show just don't get it!
Do the producers not understand the key to their success was a "with it" guy named Nick Lachey that attracted a huge viewership??? Helllllloooo!
Where is the hot football player with personality.... Um.... Emmett Smith ... another winner....
Inviting Jenny Garth and Tori Spelling, Aaron Carter... sorry guys ...that excites no one...no less Grandpa Wayne Newton and some Indy guy no one heard of....
You could have done better than this...
You should have done better than this!
I rarely catch an episode of DWTS but I might have to this year. I will be rooting for Lou, he is awesome. To have played the Hulk on the old TV shows and then use that little bit of fame to make a difference in his community. He has my votes! I sure hope he can dance! As to the rest of the group, for the first time, I actually know all of them. So I am pleasantly surprised.
Ewww, how completely and totally unwatchable. There isn't an appealing "star" in the bunch, but then again, after what they did to Mario season before last, the show lost all credibility anyway. Yech...but this is a good thing actually. Gives me more time to work on my politcal activism!
I love DWTS. These Stars may not be very memorable now...but after a few episodes I'll bet everyone will know who they are. I give them all alot of credit for doing this kind of a show. They are not in their element and will try to dance with professionals and get judged in front of millions of viewers. Can't wait for the season to begin!! I also will go to the show if they decide to tour again. Been to two so far and they were great!!
It's not as bad as I originally thought although, it would be nice to have a variety of different talents (well known people as must), such as athlete's, stars, professional business people, singers, etc. Two or so of each would make it more interesting. Good luck with the show!!!
Please realize that the stars need to have time to take months off to dance. That means they probably won't have Kelly Ripa or Nicolas Cage....they are too busy. I think the line-up is fine.
I guess it's your idea of what a "star" is.
In past years there were moans and groans over the selection also and they turned out to be cool people and worth watching.
Who knew that Jerry Springer would win America over for being such a great guy?
Who could have pictured Emmett dancing like that? Sounded like a disaster!
Joey? A blast from the past that many complained about and he turned out to be really entertaining!
Gisele (sp?) is a stunning beauty, the Indy Car driver is another Anton,(for the ladies)Dr. Quinn? She can fill my dance card anyday!Still a beauty. Wayne? One of the premiere Vegas entertainers of all time, should be a plus. This line up isn't bad, I'll bet when they get rolling you will all sing a different tune!

Ok April fool's!!! Who are the real stars?....Your show was so much fun to watch...but I guess I will skip this year. Maybe when your ratings dip, you will see that we like to see "real stars"...
i am still waiting to see Patrick Swayze shake it like he did in Dirty Dancing.
