106. I watch wrestling with my family all the time and we are big fans of Jeff Hardy. He is an amazing wrestler who has done incredible things in the ring but we are very concerned for him and feel he is heading in the same direction as his fallin commrads. Please Jeff take care of yourself. We would love to see and cheer for you next time you perform in Dallas, Texas.
107. Although wrestling is fake ( kayfabe )the punishment these wrestlers put on their bodies takes it toll on them. I had the privilige to see first hand the Von Erich family before all the deaths that claimed them. They were the real Lords of the Ring. May God bless their souls.
111. It was all over one day, I think in the early 80's, when the Road Warriors appeared. Bigger, faster, stronger than any wrestling team anyone had ever seen. Steroids make their full debut.
112. I have enjoyed watching pro wrestling since I was a little kid watching the NWA with Gordon Solie as the announcer.
"His face is a crimson mask" Gordon would cry!
Ox Baker with his big Fu Manchu moustache would growl,"Gordon Solie, I didn't come to Florida to kiss babies, I came here to hurt people."
Once a crazy friend of mine went to the small arena in Tampa called the Sportatorium where they taped the TV matches. He was wearing a bathing suit and a bath robe walking back and forth in front of the cameras so he could tell us that he got a job as a wrestler.
I once saw a guy punch a referee in the mouth as he left the ring and the police chased the guy all over Homer Hesterly Amory before the guy ran out the side door. I remember when Ric Flair was young!
113. There are a bunch of you saying that Ric Flair died of peroxide poisoning. He's not dead. He was just on RAW last night talking to HBK! Where are you getting these stupid stories?

116. I was an avid wrestling fan in the late 1950's and 1960"s and attended alot of live matches. Back then it was more real than fake. Most of them were body builders and went into wrestling for the money. Why wasn't Eric Pederson and Tony Bourne mentioned here? Or VanPopenhine? I think Herb Freeman is still living.
118. Most of these people overdosed, outside of Owen Hart and who knows about Miss Elizabeth. Anyways, basically these wrestlers think that they are invincible and in reality they can not handle living the dream to take it to the limit. It has been getting to the point where accusations of HGH or steriods doesn't even phase us anymore because it's such an often occurance. Every sport has cheating in it, one way or another, but with some athletes [with their size and strength] these drugs alter their brain chemisty and it is extremely sad and tagic to hear the horror stories of people who have died way too young.
119. Wrestling has always been a place for drug abuse, you can't take all tose hits and not come back every week without them. It is sad what has happened to most of these seems like a lot of heart attacks. As far as the Chris Benoit story I still don't buy it they never did follow up on the posting on wikipedia before the story was actually reported. I feel that there is more to this and maybe he was killed. He had tons of steriods in the home, but not that much in his system. I am wondering if he was a roids dealer and maybe he pissed someone off who later got even buy killing him and his family and made it look like a murder suicide. Just a thougt, don't think we will ever really know the truth.
