• 138. I grew up watching Topo Gigio, and it is an adorable character, however, I doubt Harvey and his gang meant well with this post. Big mistake guys, you should issue a decent and supersize apology to this talented girl who make us proud to be americans. She not only showed talent but great manners congratulating her most fierce competitors.

• 142. Damn people why is it ok to bash a 'celebrity' kid but not an olympian? Both have to work and both are kids. You all come here (probably daily) to see the latest gossip, the latest pictures... but oh yeah they make fun of someone going for gold.. representing the good ol usa... bite me. Yes she is a kid but here is the news flash.. she is also in the public eye and as one emailer wrote celebrity in the public eye are fair game!! (which I dont agree with but just quoting). They are saying ok fine but you know if you dont like it dont tune in and dont bring up the website.. you have a choice :)

Harvey, You should know better than to post something so hurtful to a young girl that has worked your hind end off to represent this Country the same Country that allows you to act irresponsible. It is really pathetic that you have to stoop to such low life behavior. In today’s society it is hard enough to grow up with all of the issues that young girls go through. You know that Shawn saw this posting from TMZ. She even asked you what did she ever do to you. (She posted it on 8/22 at 12:34am). All I can hope for you in the future is that if you do have a daughter that she will be as lucky to feel the same hurtfulness that you have caused to Shawn. Just think about how your children would feel. I am going to contact all of the advertisers that support your show and complain about your show as others have done. I encourage all of those Americans that our proud of our Country and our athletes to do the same.

• 147. if the spanish basketball team can pull back their eyelids for a team photo, and news reporters saying " bring me home some of that sushi (which is japanese)... then i'm sure we can have a few laughs over a girl that looks like a mouse... remember tonya harding? yea it was sad at the time, i still see SNL skits to this day about that. i'd rather watch pre-season football over the olympics

• 148. Waitaminit...I think the problem here is a matter of a simple generation gap. Perhaps many of the readers who are upset actually don't know who Topo Gigio was. He was an absolutely adorable little puppet and I loved watching him on Ed Sullivan when I was a child ("Ëddd-dy!"). It's not really an insult -- Shawn is tiny and cute, too! Hold your head up, girl, and embrace your petite-ness!

He has hired a bunch of pathetic losers to work for him. Those "reporters" couldn't get a job at McDonalds. • 150. The whole thing is pretty funny. I'm late to the whole thing due to work but man. The story sucked, but all the complainers maid into a great one. Really how many people even know where that mouse is from. I have no clue and don't care. The needed a story and did there job by making the public make something out of nothing.
