• 212. Have read the comments from both sides of the issue. Yes...it is a joke. Sorry that it has to happen to a 16 year old but these situation will arise once you are in the spot light. Don't tell me that the Olympians are not in the spot light. Yes they will go back to their normal lives once the games are over but in the meantime they are media personalities. She is a strong young woman and I am sure she will disregard the joke. She have more going for her than to whine about this small insignificant joke. Now if the rest of you can chill and do the same it might be a bit nicer in this world.

• 218. What is the BIG DEAL? Yeah Shawn won medals at something most of us will probably never get to do but yes she's still human and a normal kid. HOWEVER, don't get all offensive on TMZ for compairing her to a rat.. big deal :\. I think they're both cute (yes, even the rat). It isn't like they're saying Shawn looks like a disfigured skunk or something (which she doesn't, just saying it could be worse). Its a joke, NO ONE whines when they say something about Miley or the Cruises religion which is also both wrong but it's just a joke. And you're all sitting her complaining and all upset about a picture compairing a girl to a cute rat? WTF you all need to get the life, not TMZ.

Making fun of 3-year-old Suri (who really can't much fend for herself), and this, since she was born, for being the child of a much ill-thought-of actor, is mostly okay, but poking fun at a 16-year-old athlete, by comparing her cuteness to that of an animated mouse (and yes, they're both adorable-looking) prompts an avalanche of flame emails with text stating that the authors of aforementioned emails are henceforth boycotting the site? Get a sense of humor, people. Or maybe that's something only us Canadians have?

• 222. An open letter to the Staffer(s) at TMZ who posted the Shawn Johnson comparison: You know the saying "a face only radio can love"? Well in my experience working in the internet industry it is the same here. So TMZ staffer(s) who put up the comparison shot, judging from the small peek you gave us all into your social skills you're probably not much to look at. Or maybe your that creepy guy/girl that thinks a girl/guy being kind to you means she/he's in love with you? Seriously, were all those years you were abused and bullied at school magically fixed by posting that? All I can say is - Leave the poor kid alone!

• 223. whatever happened to freedom of speech? and having a sense of humor is key in looking for mates these days, so why do so many of you have a stick up your butt? To have such a negative reaction to something so childish is amazing, some of you attack others who look at this site, calling them uneducated and stupid, when you are a hypocrite who looks and reads the same thing? Not all of us bow down and break into tears when we see someone famous, and some of them need to be knocked down sometimes because they grow a big head and think they are better than the average person. If these people don't like all the paparazzi in thier faces, then drop out of the showbiz limelight, move into a normal house, and stop shopping in hollywood/beverly hills, many stars have no problems with TmZ or the paprazzi. So get a life a sense of humor, and leave TMZ alone!
