  Firstly, most of you never even heard of this girl until the olympics so please stop acting like she's your neighbour and TMZ has offended her. More importantly, she was NOT compared to a REAL RAT! It was a CUTE CARTOON Type RAT....with big ears and a cute smile! They didn't insult her, they just rzzed her a bit, that's all. I think she's an amazing gymnast (I watch them all the time, BTW she's way better than Mary-Lou Retton) and I watched all of her performances. Through the whole thing I just couldn't stop thinking of how cute she looked, just like a little bunny rabbit because of her adorable smile and face it...there's probably a few of you out there that thought the same. We saw Bunny, TMZ saw Cocp Gigo. Lighten up folks, she'll be fine.

  calling the young lady a rat was a bit much but i don't see the need to never visit TMZ again... futhermore if i was her i would be happy so many people came to defend me. Shawn Johnson is a little cutie pie and will be just fine :)

  TMZ I have a great idea why don't you put a photo of yourself on the web so we can laugh and comment on how you all look because there must be something wrong with you to make the comments you did about a sweet young respected girl.   Yeah...BRAVO, Omar!!! Although its freedom of speech, which makes our country great, it also means to be aware and conscientious of others on what we say and do. Yes, I do find it offensive that TMZ would compare someone to a rat when they spent the majority of his/her life working hard to represent America. I would be very upset if I've won all these medals and all people can do is make fun of how I look. And please...if you go about George Bush remarks as a come back, he has made awful decisions and has said things out loud that shouldn't have been said; however, I have yet to see someone actually make fun of his appearance. I also do not approve of TMZ posting emails and making fun of people because they have pride for their country. This will be the last time I read this site as well.

  I think it's funny that people are over reacting over something so trivial. It's not as if she was called a whore or anything. If it was anyone else in a "celebrity" status(even if they were under aged) most of you would gladly agree. It's actually pretty pathetic that most of you would send a message screaming "take it down" or "I'm just letting you know I'll never visit this site again". You came to this site looking for gossip. It's not like this is CNN people! And since this is a celebrity news/gossip site you shouldn't be so hypocritical considering you visited this site to being with and then all of a sudden you decide to grow a conscious about how "wrong" and "demeaning" that one tiny insignificant comment was. GROW UP!

You people are taking this to heart!!!! OUCH !!! Get a LIFE FOR REAL!!!!!! I read some of the letters and they are all pretty funny. By the way!!!   I find it interesting that people are offended at your pathetic, disgusting, dehumanizing, greedy, low-life opinion of a child. How else do talentless pukes pay their bills? Same reasoning those freaks who make and post child rape scenes reason it out. Their just making a fun living right? How many jokes do you make about Shasta Groening and her ordeal? No doubt they've been made in your office...but what...your legal department decided that would be in bad taste?
