2. I wonder how they decided on the term "cougar", I mean why not pather, or tiger, or lion or ... whatever. But, no offense to the many beautiful and smart young ladies out there, women over the age of 35 or so, have experience, taste, and they know what they want and are willing to go after it and use the tools at their disposal. At the same time, even though I am a male, I think when a 40 year old male (or older) starts chasing younger women it is more for his middle age crisis. However, and I will be roasted for this, when I see a lady like C. Zeta Jones, sure makes me wish I were 25 or so and had the toned body I did back then, and the expericne I have now. Guys, keep in mind the old song from World War I. "Bless them all, bless them all, the long, the short and the tall..." And ladies, thanks for the memories.

Good quality relationships between an older & younger person are possible - just not with an attitude where you use these women because their young bodies & energy arouse you but in which you lack the courage to really know the women because you may find out how they really see you (i.e. as being a "status object" & less sexually arousing as younger men). By the way, in my experience, the best sex is in a real relationship; it is much more erotic. You're stuck in adolescence and having the kind of lame sex adolescents do.

5. Ed - You are predatory as a "cougar" is when she seeks a younger man simply as a sex object or to use him for other purposes. Real relationships require really getting to know the other person, including being there in tough times as a respectful partner & interacting. Many "prey" do not realize they are being used & are simply too inexperienced to see the difference. Younger men have sexier bodies & more energy than you do. Young women who choose you are likely either (a) from dysfunctional families & devalue themselves as being only sex objects or (b) using you for money, insider career advice, etc. Healthy younger women prefer a younger man.

8. Oh Yeah! Love the Cougars! Demi, Selma, and Yes definitely Catherine Bell. However, what about us still young- but mature men who hunt the younger women. They are so vibrant, full of energy, smart, sexy, very naughty and Hot, Hot, Hot. That's what we want, young women who have it all together, and turn our heads! I'd be interested to get some feedback on this.

12. why is it that the hottest bachelors are in their late 30's but women in the same age group are considered "oldies" and "cougars?" men in the "oldies" category would be in their late 40's and 50's....frustrating....
