archuleta can hit the notes and all, but he puts me to sleep and he's just another generic singer. those ballads are lame, his song choices are a snoozfest. and he has no distinct style or interesting sound in his voice, just bland is the term i would use. of course people love him because most of the AI viewers have no musical taste. he'll put out an album and then be lost in obscurity i hope. no more manufactured karaoke pop stars please. the whole show sucks and it shows you the lack of creativity that these people have!

David A "Archie" looks like a Chucky doll with his little wide-spaced teeth, spikey hair, short stature and the way he constantly licks his lips. His giggles and squinty eyes don't help. Yes, he can sing. But, I never liked Wayne Newton, so I don't like him. Jason Castor Oil makes me want to scream and run. Hippy-dippy dude with a guitar at a beach party... David Cook has his career in the bag, win or lose. Tonight, it seemed as if David Cook was upset...made me wonder what's going on behind the scenes. Didn't seem like songs that he'd choose, and he didn't mix them up like he normally would, so what's the deal? Syesha is both talented and beautiful. I get the feeling that the show is pretty rigged, and that "Archie" will win. So what? David Cook and Syesha will both become stars.

David Archuletta is such a middle-of-the-road, namby pamby singer. It is painful to watch him take the edge off everything he sings. Musical wallpaper is the term that should apply to him. Yes, he has a gifted voice in terms of tone and pitch. David A. was sooooooooooo amazing im usually a bid david cook fan but i voted for david a tonight. it was supposed to be cooks night and archuleta blew him away!

Told ya so! (See my post from before the show started). I knew little David would bring it tonight and BOY, DID HE EVER! This was his best week of the season--like Simon said, he "didn't beat the competition, he CRUSHED the competition". Way to go Archie! (And I'm no granny or teeny-bopper either just someone who appreciates real talent).

I am sooooo bored by David A - the 'ah shucks...'. He sounds the same every week, I saw a quote somewhere referring to him as the next great Wayne Newton - and pretty much that what his career will be. His lack of personality is the problem - you can sing on tune all you want but if your audience is asleep.... Honestly - who is going to buy his albums?

Here we go again...and again. Let's set the record straight. Cook fans who label Archuleta as "monotone" are, plain and simple, idiots. I'm sorry, but if he is monotone...then Cook is NO TONE. You can't tell me that Cook is able to sing anything unless you count his SAME sounding tunes with the SAME sounding voice. Get real people. Archuleta is 17...he has much to learn but he DOES have the basics down...A VOICE. You can hate all you want, but don't hate the fact that he appeals to different generations...unlike cook whose fan base seems to be angry emo's who are simply angry at the world and can't accept that there IS other types of music out there. This hate level is simply funny and sad. Just accept that Archuleta has a fan base..and not just the ones that have to skateboard down to the nearest store to pawn off a piercing or two in order to afford an iTunes download.

I think David Cook is amazing! I can't wait to watch him sing every Tuesday night. I subscribe to a weekly newsletter all about DC and it makes me laugh until I hurt. DC is amazing and is the best thing on TV these days. Even better than LOST and The Simpsons! Hey Kim - REEKS is exactly the word for David Archuleta!!!! If I have to watch him giggle and lick his lips one more week, I'm going to be sick. He CAN'T sing anything but a ballad, and even that has become totally boring, I'm sick of the sound of his voice, it's starting to make me cringe. I used to like him in the first few weeks. He does have some talent, but he has a lot of work to do to get to a professional level. David Cook - that is a talented singer AND performer!! He sings every type of song, and sings them better thna anyone else there. He is definitely the American Idol!!!

Two Davids and the girl should be there. That Castro kid shouldn't of even made if past the audition round.
