I'm gonna need a stiff drink or 7 to listen to not only Mariah Carey songs (hoarf!), but but Mariah Carey songs butchered by people who have been forced to sing them. My heart bleeds for all of you. Especially Jason. oh, and I hope David A. tears his vocal cords in half.

• 48. Oh, my gosh!!! Mariah Carey songs???? What a bunch of garbage. I'll watch because I'm a loyal fan, but I won't like it. The contestants are always told not to try a Mariah or a Whitney or a Celine song. I really don't understand this week's choice of mentor. "Pitchy" will be a compliment to the singers tonight!!

• 53. Randy will have a nervous breakdown. All the idols singing Mariah. Doesn't he tell every singer who attempts a Mariah song that it's just too big for them, they just don't measure up, etc. Maybe, just for Randy's sanity, they will all sing "a little pitchy" tonight.

• 57. lame..he's just another cheese ball pop star wannabe. there's nothing interesting about this kid. yeah, he can sing, big deal. so can a million other people. but if they don't bring in some personality and something unique to the table, then blah.

• 58. I get that soft and slow is David A.'s thing, but could he please humour us just once with a song that doesn't have a geriatric heartbeat? It's not like he's got anything to lose. That being said, I really like this song, so I hope he rocks out.
