3. u people have nothing else to do but bother people. Jlo and marc are trying to do what the rest of the world is doing . Trying to have a normal life for their two beautiful children. Leave them alone i hope they are happy until the good lord says different.
4. I worked for Drexel Heritage on LI's Gold Coast in the '80's and I even recognize some of the furniture from their line at that time.
It is 1780's done in the 1980's, it looks like an upscale funeral parlor now
5. JLo is in serious need of a good interior decorator...a truly ugly house without a cohesive scheme. Some rooms are colonial, others are ultra modern. What a mess!
7. The house is a COLONIAL, folks. It's not a stuccoed West Coast home. Having been house hunting in Colonial Williamsburg, VA, believe it or not, people moving into a colonial-style home (could be only 2 years old) like that around here would still decorate it in much the same way in 2009. I've seen about 15 of them now. Not my taste, as I'm on of those CA girls, but it's not "tacky" just different. And, those carpets someone thought were awful are probably worth as much as your car.
10. Oh please! They're not going to actually LIVE in this late 80's train wreck (love the natural wood trim, brass light fixtures and {{{shudder}}} wallpaper borders---ugh!). There is nothing "elegant" about this home. It reminds me of a middle aged woman who is still wearing the same painfully outdated hairstyle that worked for her 20 years ago. Pathetic!
They bought it for more privacy. They'll knock it down to expand their own property and add additional security.
11. Looks like Great Neck or Sands Point.
There's thousands of these elegant older colonial homes in the area.
This one looks like it was upgraded like 15 years ago and couldn't blend modern elements into the design.
Yeah the furnishings suck but it's a nice property.
I'm sure they will tear it down, or maybe use it as staff quarters.
I miss growing up where it was nice, people had huge yards and we were not afraid to play anywhere.
Nassau boys rule, others drool.
12. It's not the style furniture that's so hideous, it's the color scheme. That one room looks like kids had fun with the ketchup and mustard... I would be calling that the Ronald McDonald room.
13. I think it is a lovely home. I could do without the yellow couches, but that is a personal preference. I just hope that the new owners don't do anything horribly stupid like tear it down, it is a wonderful example of Early American Elegance.
