• 276. Hey JB...when's the last time that you've been to Europe? You talk about gas being more than $5..lol..firstly,gas prices are different in different countries.Europe isnt just one land mass that you could say 'oh gas is $5 there' For example, gas was almost a buck cheaper in Spain than it was in Portugal - ($3 EU in Spain) and in case you didnt realize, their gas octane levels are higher than here in the US. Simply put, the gas gives you more energy per liter than the same amt of gas here in the US. We did 9hrs of highway driving on one tank of gas. Premium gas here in the US has octane levels LOWER than the cheapest gas in Europe. Secondly, if we werent fighting a stupid war (thanks to dumb Republicans) we wouldnt be experiencing such an economic slump. Presently, The US dollar is worth LESS than a Canadian dollar, and the Euro is worth 1.50 to 1 US. Pretty Pathetic.

Also LWM, no one is "happy" that any government official, republican or democrat, is getting in trouble/arrested/or forced to resign for some sort of "illegal" behavior, oh I'm sorry, I meant liberals are only happy when it happens to conservatives, it's only a big deal when it comes to conservatives, but let a democrat official call attention to himself in that manner and then it becomes "he didn't really have sexual relations with her and how does that affect his presidency anyway?" sound familiar, I love how the liberal media spins objectivity based on who the spotlight is shining on.

First of all, I don't think anyone liberal or conservative is "happy" that over 2900 american soldiers have died in Iraq. WMD's or not, have we forgotten that Saddam Hussein was an evil tyrant who killed many of his own people in a country where you had absolutely no freedom of speech, and for the idiots who are going to say we don't have freedom of speech in this country, grow up. In how many countries can you stand at the presidents footsteps and protest or verbally attack high ranking government officials without consequences to your life, not many.

I served in the Army during "Just Cause" in Panama and in "Desert Storm" 7th signal brigade. • 283. To all you blabbering, uneducated neo-conservatives that still blindly back Bush; are you happy with the way this country is now? Are you happy to be paying $3.00 a gallon for gas? Are you happy that 3000+ soldiers have died in a war based on lies to the American public? (Hello! Still waiting to find those WMD's!) Are you happy that kids run around with loaded automatic's killing each other because you don't believe in strict gun laws? Are you happy to turn on the news and hear about yet another Republican "official" getting in trouble/arrested/forced to resign for some sort of illegal behavior? If you said yes to any of the questions above, you need to be locked in a freaking rubber room because you're a lunatic! The only reasons people are Republicans are because they are greedy, gun-slinging, bible-thumping IDIOTS! Do us all a giant favor and take your guns to Iraq and send a soldier home in your place. Preferably alive unless you take joy in seeing them killed too.

• 284. I'd much rather listen to Elisabeth than some of the others because she's not rude when she talks. She tries to express her opinions even though she continually gets shut down and shouted over by the other hosts on the show because she's out numbered. She's managed to stay true to her ideals despite being in the minority, and knowing every time she opens her mouth she's going to be jumped on. That's not easy to do. When Rosie was there it was a real scream fest. Rosie would jump in, shout down everyone else, then call for a break before anyone could get a word in. She was rude, abrasive, and obnoxious. Then she would blame her behavior on her menopause symptoms. Puhleeze. At least Whoopie has brought manners back to the show. Do I always agree with Elisabeth? No, I'm much more of a moderate than she is, but I can at least respect her right as a fellow American to express her beliefs.
