• 1. AnnMarie aren't you overlooking a few things? One, his wife was independent and working when they met. They may have both wanted a large family. On the other hand it seems the mistress has always been completely dependent on men. Either she married them or got knocked up, if the guy had fame and marriage wasn't in the cards. She never carried her weight, even w/o a big family. So that theory doesn’t work. I agree the music contract sounds bogus total bs spin. The biggest factor regardless of whether the couple outgrew each other or not is Mel's weirdness. There's a reason people have called him crazy for a long time now. Even Trey Parker and Matt Stone did their treatment of him in 2005. They concluded Gibson was nuts. That was before the whole "Sugar Tits," and "I think Jews suck" incident. They were better able to keep it out of public view before. His wife no doubt separated in 2006 b.c she couldn't deal with the humiliation anymore and it was out in the open.

• 2. did any one stop to think perhaps mel outgrew his relationship with robyn. All Mrs Gibson ever did was have babies did she ever get out of the house and find a career for herself.in this day and age a man wants a woman who can do something beside have kids. they were wealthy enough to have housekeepers and cooks besides having kids what exactly did she do to stimulate the marriage after all these years things get a little stale.

• 4. Hope the two of you find happiness in the new chapters of your lives. I don't feel sorry (so condescending when someone says that) for either you or any of your family members. That would be an insult to all of you. Out of respect, I say you are all healthy, smart, good looking people and wealthy...(I make it a policy never to feel sorry for someone who makes more money than me.) It's not easy to entertain the world let alone your U.S. audience (some of which are so judgemental) Our appetites for entertainment have taken enough of your family's time and attention. Time for folks to chill and let your family have their privacy. There will be lots of new adventures for all of you and I wish the very best to each and every one in both of your families. Life is short. Find happiness soon. Whatever you do,do it with love.

• 5. Hey you guys, What people need to smell their own behinds, before trying to see and smell their neighbors. In the scriptures, about the woman caught in adultry. It says to "Let him who has no sin cast the first stone." (New Testiment-When Christ died for everyone who accepts him sins. Just pray this and believe) Actually I didn't think nor had heard too much of Mr.Gibson until "The Passion"...and now I was quite angered w/him! But every one needs forgiveness. God forgives and also , he's promised to take our sin'to take our sin's "As far as the East is from the West".(Holy Bible-New Testiment) Thank You

• 9. Ihave always liked Mel Gibson but I am very dissappointed in his behavior towards his marriage.I doubt very much that he can be very happy. I have always believed that you can build your happiness on another persons unhappiness.My advise to Mel's new woman is remember this"if they will do it for you they will do it to you" But then you are probably in it only for the money.

• 11. I thought Mel Gibson was a good person when I was little and a big fan, As An Adult he is disgusting!! MY opinion for what it is worth. Sell the damn houses and the glutney and pay the bills. Any man that fathers all these kids and expected his wife to wear a veil in public is really out there and now he has another woman. How CATHOLIC!! Mr. Gibson you have been banned in my home since about 1993 so how is that sound. I plan on never supporting you or your wife (s) and the brood. I am disgusted by what you have done with your money. But hey I am just a woman that comes from the working middleclass that realized your a jerk a long time ago. Thank god for Tom Hanks being a real guy!!

• 13. I don't think any of you are looking at this unbiased. If you think having that kind of money would not change you, You're a fool. There are sooo many external influences that would would have you chipping away at your moral values In less than a week. I would bet that he's actually a very savvy individual who did as well as he could for as long as he could. I won't throw stones, My first marriage lasted 1.5 years, I lost a home in foreclosure and I still owe on some credit cards from years ago. Keep it up Mel, I'd have left my first wife for her!!
