• 47. continued: If Michael in fact died from ingesting drugs I would take an educated guess that he took a combination of buprenex and xanax which can cause life threatening respiratory depression. There are actually warnings in the literature of buprenex recommending that these two drugs are not prescribed together, especially if the dosage of xanax (or any other benzodiazepine) being taken by the patient is large. My conclusion is that given Michael's past and current medical conditions (chronic pain, anxiety, severe insomnia) his doctor screwed up if he had Michael taking buprenex and xanax at the same time. It wouldn't take someone abusing these two drugs to possibly go into respiratory arrest if they were prescribed at the same time.

• 48. continued: Buprenex: An opioid (narcotic) used to treat moderate to severe pain. I'd like to point out that there is a difference between an opiate (Percocet) and an opioid. Most pain killers that are most commonly known (morphine, codeine, percocet, vicodin) are in the opiate class and are called semi-synthetic opiates. These drugs are more difficult to synthesize so their main ingredient comes directly from the opium of the poppy plant. Opiods (demerol, fentanyl, and buprenex among others) are purely synthetic. While drugs like demerol and fentanyl are extremely addictive synthetic opiods, buprenex has a chemical makeup that prevents it (or I should say greatly reduces it) from being physically addictive. They actually use the same drug as buprenex (but in pill form) to ease the withdrawal symptoms in patients being treated for addiction to heroin and opiate pain killers because it causes little or no physical dependence.

As someone who has worked in the pharmacy field (pharmacy technician, developing automated medication dispensing systems, installing pharmacy software systems in hospitals) I feel like I should shed some light on the drugs shown in this article and others on TMZ. Ery-Tab: a brand of erythromycin which is an antibiotic commonly used for sinus infections and sometimes for ear or respiratory infections. Prednisone: a steroid commonly used to treat a number of different typed of inflammatory conditions. It's often used in conjunction with antibiotics to reduce inflammation in the lungs when treating bronchitis and possibly with sinus infections. It's also used in people with arthritis of the joints as well as in people with skin problems or rashes. Xanax: A benzodiazepine used maily for anxiety. Percocet: An opiate that is a combination of oxycodone (a synthetic codine derivative) and acetaminophen (Tylenol) used for moderate to severe pain.

• 54. Damn, you would think some things would be kept confidential or private, but I guess not. LA's finest or the alphabet boy's leaking personal info, not just on a regular citizen, but a Famous Entertainer, no correction the Most Famous that ever lived. You people out here hating on this man need to get a life, he is dead and gone, and you are still hating. I wonder what is in your home? Remember, what goes around comes around. How you treat another will eventually bite you in the ass. Most of those drugs were from years ago anyway. You should have showed your face too, but I guess you are too much of cowards to do that. I guarantee you if not you, someone in your family loves MJ. LoL! MJ was and will always be the best, admit that so you can free yourself!!!

• 55. lol I'm a pharmacy tech studying for my degree and find this s*** hilarious. Nothing in there is highly abnormal. In my pharmacy Xanax was one of the fastest movers most people I knew there took it at one point or another. The others were for normal illness and infection. The demerol is worrying though because NO doctor should ever prescibe that regularly for a person above 40 as it can cause liver and kidney impairment to that age group. Just drop this stuff lol

• 58. If you are passing judgment on the medications you are showing then most of the people in this country are in trouble. Look in most all medicine cabinets and you will see Ambien, Xanax, Prozac, Oxycodone, Lortab, Percocet, and a variety of other medicines. Many meds are used for many different conditions and usually those who have no idea what they are for are "impressed" when they hear someone/celeb is taking them.. they are no different from average individual...hope no one looks in my medicine cabinet, heaven knows what they would say about me a diabetic, 60 year old woman with a severely chronic back and nerve disorder as well as depression and cardiac problems... oh yeah whoo hoo if I was "somebody" I guess you'd consider me a druggie.... give it a rest people... focus on your own lives before you criticize others.

Yeah he "may" have died from pain killers, but TMZ should leave it alone, let him rest for god sake. from 7 years back, gimme a break.It is unnecessary to exploit in such a manner. Who knows, maybe he was murdered???I know probably DID abuse some meds, but I still think everyone has there problems and people deal with them in a lot of different ways. I loved him, and I still do, I would never judge him for that because I never walked in his shoes or lived his sheltered life and no one is perfect, but he was very close to being perfect (In my opinion).Others may not see it that way but I do...Along with Many other loyal fans. TMZ LET THE MAN REST IN PEACE AND FIND SOME OTHER living celebrities TO AIR THEIR "DIRTY LAUNDRY".
