It certainly isn't 1/2 million dollars in damages. Was the water damage from faulty plumbing? If so the show should n't have to pay. You would think that the crew would patch up the holes in the celing from the lighting though, that just sounds like a no brainer.
I see that there are quite a few people on here that are calling the landlord a "whack job" because he wants money to fix the damage to his condo. Honestly, if you rented out your condo and upon completion of the lease it looked like a disaster site you would want money for necessary repairs. These aren't the best pics to really see the damage, but this kind of stuff happens all the time. I think that he has a right to the money for the cost of the repairs, not to mention, he cannont re-rent the condo until the repairs are completed. So he is out of his rental income as well.
ANOTHER GREEDY LANDLORD DOING WHAT THEY DO BEST, SCREWING OVER TENENTS. IT DOSEN'T MATTER THAT THE CREW DAMAGED THE HOUSE BECAUSE IT WOULDNT COST MORE THAN 20K-30K TOPS TO REPLACE THE FLOOR AND CEILING THROUGH OUT THAT WHOLE PLACE. 500 K? BE FOR REAL!
I really doubt the models were responsible for the damage. The floor looks like someone used a crow bar to rip it up something i doubt one of the models would do or the camera crew for that matter. The holes in the wall would be from the camera crew for the lights and camera, again not he models fault. Also the water damage happen after repairs started to take place so they are not responsible for that either. I also doubt the repairs totaled $500,000, it is an exaggerated claim. I do suspect the models would be responsible for scratches on the floor, a stain on the carpet, a spot on a wall but it would be unreasonable to think they would be responsible for the damages.

ok I agree with hahha. If anyone is going to try and correct another person on spelling has to know how to spell also. Additionally all this is crap. Tyra should just cancel the season entirely if this is causing so much drama. The rating of the show have not been that good teh last couple of seasons and because of this issue they will drop even more because people are quick to judge and will put all the blame on her.
haha. you guys are dumb. everyone who is correcting other people are making mistakes. naomi "alot" is two words sweetie and for the story, i don't think tyra would have let the models damage the place. the whole thing about the water damage ... it's not the models' fault if he was repairing the place and caused water damage. also the floors, if they were scratched it's probably due to normal daily tear with high heels that i don't know MODELS wear.
let's try to be civil and comment about the story, i am tired of you people commenting about the way someone else writes because it's pointless and defeats the purpose of these comments.
This is ridiculous! You know this guy is just trying to pull something to get the money to redo the place cause he wants to. I'm sure there was some damage done, like holes for lighting maybe, and some scratches to walls/floors, the girls can be kind of messy, but not $500k worth. I mean, come on!!! I highly doubt the show, the producers, or Tyra would let the girls trash the place so badly. It's not like they could have done it unnoticed, they are on camera most of the time. This will never hold up in court.
Also.. Nichole is a #?@!$ moron. If you're going to be a cocky little bitch and correct people, learn how to spell. It would be spelt "Their" not "They're."
Grow up. Get an education.
I dont know if it costs 500k, but it would take alot of cash to redo all that marble, brazillian hardwood flooring and the holes that were obviously intentionally put there. how could it be a mistake if theres more than 1 or 2 holes? they knew what they were doing. they should have to pay for the damage they did. Anyone that did the same to a place they wre renting would have to pay for it too.
This landlord has lost his mind.I would assume a respectable judge would throw this case out because it looks like a small claims matter to me.I've been on large productions and Art Department can't babysit the whole crew. This happens more often than anyone knows and its NOT a big deal.Every once in a while you run into some wack job like this landlord.Good Luck getting rid of this one Tyra!
I fail to see how pictures of the floor being repaired show how damaged it was to begin with. Not to mention that some holes in the ceiling and a redone floor do not cost 500K. "A plumbing accident that occured after the models departure", how can ANTM be held liable for the damage that "accident" caused. I think this landlord is a complete cheat and is just manipulating and lying to cover his renovation costs. DISGUSTING!!!
