16. I find it rather disgusting, that such beautiful ladies turn to plastic surgery and, literally, make freaks of themselves. Aging naturally, and gracefully, is beauty itself.
18. Easy winner: Raquel Welch, though I am sure some of them are really nice people, and others as crazy as the whack jobs they were back in the day.
But Raquel...still smoking hot!
21. I THINK THAT THEY ARE VERY BEAUTIFUL LADY'S . THEY HAVE REALY AGED SO WELL. I SURE HOPE THAT I CAN DO AS WELL AS THEY HAVE. I SURE WISH THEM WELL AN GOOD HEALTH FOR A FEW MORE YEAR'S TO COME. CIN !
26. My comments are in four parts and posted to be read from this one going down. "Sophia rules" was not me though.

27. Life has been kinder to some, and tougher on others. Too many people here base beauty on appearance, then turn around and laugh at women who appear to have had plastic surgery and make rude comments about the work they had. You hold these women to a standard that is nearly impossible to posses and even harder to hold onto and then when they attempt to live up to those standards you make fun of them. It's a disgusting double standard that has been alive and well since the mid to late 70’s. Joan Crawford, was heart broken by the treatment she received from the press when she appeared in public (she was made fun of and blasted for her appearance) and because of it she never stepped foot in front of a camera again, not too long afterwards she passed away. We should consider ourselves fortunate that these ladies are still out in the public eye, with the strength it unfortunately requires to simply exist at their age in an industry that would rather pretend they don’t.

28. Some people claim that American women are fixated on remaining ageless. These comments must come from people who are not acquainted with real life American women. What you need to realize is it's not so much AMERICAN women who want to remain young, it's HOLLYWOOD which sets the standard of what looks ‘good’ and what looks ‘bad’. These are all HOLLYWOOD women whose careers HINGE upon how they look. If a waitress knows she'll make better tips if she dyes her hair, or wears false eye-lashes, she does it and no one cares. Let a woman in Hollywood have a face lift or a nose-job and you trash her into oblivion. While comparing a dye-job and false lashes to a nose-job and a face lift is a dramatic comparison, they parallel perfectly in this situation. They all affect the outward appearance of a woman who works in an industry where appearance is at least HALF of their job. While skill and talent are the lasting requirement, beauty and appearance is the evil twin sister.

30. Don't hate on these ladies for having had any work done (no matter how good or bad). I can promise you at various moments in their lives they had to personally determine if it was worth it. Some decided to do it, others didn't. I can promise you it was not all out of vanity and it was not something done on a whim. There are recovery times, the quality of the work, as well as the cost and if it's worth it for their career. To trash on them now is heartless and shallow regardless of how good, bad, obvious or tragic any of them could be perceived.
With agents, managers and studios offering 'mother' rolls to women in their late 20's and grandmother rolls to women in their late 30's you can't understand the needless heartbreak some actresses face when they are told 'sorry but you don't look the part, you're too old.' When they are in fact TOO YOUNG to play some of the rolls offered.
