1. I think that the bratty ass little kid got off easy. I think that Nick should stop crying like a little baby and thankful that he got off easy. I think that he needs to sty in jail and serve his sentence like the rest off us would. Great parents huh?

2. THE HOLGANS WERE NOT REALLY PARENTS, THEY WERE GIFT BUYERS.BOTH BRATS ARE SO SPOILED MONEY TALKS BULSHIT WALKS . THEY SHOULD HAD SHOWERED THEM WITH LOVE AS YOUNG CHILDREN, NOT BUY WHAT THEY WANTED. 1ST OF ALL IF YOU HAVE MONEY YOU HAVE TO LEARN HOW WORK FOR IT. THERE DAD DID! THE WIFE IS SPOILED AND WAY OUT OF SHAPE, HOUSE HERE HOUSE THERE. SHE SHOULD HSVE INVESTED IN MAKING BODYS BEUTIFUL. A LESSON THAT NEEDS TO BE LEARNED IS HOW TO BE PARENTS. NOT SPOIL THEM. GOOD LUCK WITH THE REST OF YOUR FORTUNES, YOU WILL NEED IT.

3. continued.... even former actually good street racers turn into pro racers, because they realize the risk they put themselves and others in, but people like that aren't rich spoiled brats with lack of racing skills (anyone heard of keiichi tsuchiya?). his friend should have known better than to not wear a seatbelt and ride around with a wannabe racer like this hogan loser. he could have killed someone. bottom line: poor jza80 it really deserved a better driver.

4. why feel bad for this idiot? the kid did not deserve to even ride in a supra, that car is worth more than him. yeah sure if i had a supra i would drive fast...but on a race track. his dad has enough money to allow him to enter sanctioned events and actually finance his racing career.....but as we can see skill is also involved in racing cars. street racing is mindless. in most cases all you do is put others in harm's way. it doesn't matter how old you are, this is common sense. this kid has always struck me as a poser (hes even lied in the past about his "outrageous" speeding tickets).

5. That's what you get for giving some punk 17 year old a car with that much power. Nice parenting, Hulk.

6. I cant imagine how on earth everyone can be so harsh and ruthless. Get real - they are young and we all were once. We all did stupid stuff when growing up (we just got lucky nothing bad happened). Nick is doing time for the crime, but the time he spends behind bars is nothing compared to the mental anguish he forever has to live with due to his best friends condition. I couldnt imagine living with myself. And yes his best friend raced cars all along and knew that was the plan when he and Nick ride around - just nobody plans for a tragedy to occur. So seriously get over yourselves and have some compassion. This is devestating to all involved.

7. look people, think back when your were a kid and you and your best friend were going out for a ride both of you knew what kind of trouble you were going to get in.So the way i see it both of them made a choice that day,one of them to drive the car and one made a choice to be a passenger in the car(racing or not). I think that it's just as much as one's fault as it's the other one.Now when it comes to all the law suits going on in this case,I don't think any of this would be happening if the "HOGANS" were your everyday next door average family and wasn't worth millions

8. he drank & drove, then he crashed. to those he say he is being treated too harshly, instead of the tree, what if he had hit the car your mom & dad were in? he is getting off light, way too light. when he gets out, you know he will be driving right away, & probably drinking too. if/when he gets caught driving without a license, i hope he gets forced to serve a full 2 years minimum. i hope nick enjoys his time in jail, its really too bad he doesn't have a cell mate named "Bubba" but being rich has its privileges.

9. This reminds me of the fast and the furious... Dom: [looking at the junked Toyota Supra being hauled in] I said a ten-*second* car, not a ten-*minute* car. Jesse: You could push this across the finish line, or tow it. Dom: You couldn't even tow that across the finish line. Brian: No Faith. Dom: I have faith in you, but this isn't a junkyard. This is a garage Jesse: [about the Supra] You know what? This will decimate all... after we put about fifteen grand or more under the hood. If we have to, overnight some parts from Japan.

10. Everyone keeps saying, "Did you see pic 17, he had a handicapped placeard!" Hello people the car may have been registered in his Dad's name. I know Nick may have been going fast, but if you had the money and a car like that, what teenager wouldn't. I feel for the family of John, if he seen Nick had his seatbelt on, why didn't he? And he was his Best Friend, he knew what they were going to do!! Nick has to go the rest of his life knowing this has happened to a very important person in his life, his best friend, and John's life was in the palm of his hands. I do feel bad for John's family but put yourself in the other persons shoes.. If you were driving with a friend and you have a car accident and that friend dies, what do you think will happen? I think now everytime you have a passenger riding in your car you should make them sign a statement saying that if any kind of accident occurs, you are not responsible. All people are out for this day in time is MONEY!!

11. If you had the money that nick had all you idiots would do the same. The difference is that nick cant even drive. He wrecked all the time prior to this yet they kept letting him put more power under his hood. With that money what you doing with a Supra anyways.....get a GT 500. Hogan you the man!!!!

12. I think that most of the comments are heartless. Lets remember that age is a big factor. it is just a terrible tragedy to both of the families. he will do the "time for the crime" so there is justice !!

13. Poor Palm Tree was just minding its own business when some punk rich kid, thinking he was above the law, drinks on some beers and probably some of daddy's pain killers and almost kills his friend. What a loser man. guy goes to a freakin war zone and survives only to almost lose his life to a wrecked car. Nick you are an absolute idiot but your sister is still HOT!!! Good luck in jail buddy I'm sure you will make a bunch of new friends.

15. Well justice has been served, good thing the judge made an example of this young irresponsible driver: 8 months county, 5 yrs probation, 3 yrs revoked DL. Now they have to prepare for the civil lawsuit. Driving is a privelage.
