Listen, any way you look at the situation the outcome is horrible. BUT Nick is not a criminal or a bad person. Yes, he was speeding. He should not have been. Did he mean to do this? Absolutely not. You do not know Nick to judge him. He made a mistake. Should he be punished? yes. Should he spend his life in jail for an ACCIDENT? no!
I would just like to know how people think that they knew what was going on inside that car as far as being said between these 2 boys?!?!For all we know, this kid could have been telling Nick to slow down.That is just it, we don't know, we weren't in there.As far as Nick going to jail for this, YES, I think he should have to get some time out of this and I don't mean 2-3 days. And we don't know, this boy could still die from this.Part of being a driver is taken responsibilty for your mistakes. Not letting daddy buy you out of the trouble, but stepping up to the plate like a MAN and doing the time for your crime! If Nick gets away with this mess, who knows what will happen the next time.If that was my child that was in the car with him while he was acting stupid,I would damn well want him to pay for it.We all know that if this was the other way around, Hulk would be fighting to have this boy locked up!
Another case of rich kids who think there above the law...very sad case.
He should go away for a long time.
Maybe he could lift some weights in Jail

I have not seen this brought up yet but Nick was also drinking before the accident. I believe his blood alcohol was .06 taken two hours after the crash. Who knows what his blood alcohol level was at the time of the crash. .08 is legally drunk. So not only was he racing but he was drinking. Drunk drivers who get into accidents go to prison all the time. I for one think that he should have been more severely charged.
Florida's current safety belt law requires all front seat occupants to be restrained, even if the vehicle is equipped with an air bag. The driver is held responsible for passengers under 18 years of age who are not buckled up. The law applies to all cars, pickup trucks and vans operated on Florida's roads. The penalty for violation is $30 plus other legal assessments.

I don't know who is the legal owner of the car. But, I read that the car insurance was a family type plan, with Daddy Hulk being the main insured.
Also, both cars in the chase (Viper/Supra) were on Daddys ins.
The driver is responsible for passengers and their seat belts being used.
Put him in the pokey, for a long, long time.
I live about 3 miles from the crash.
The road was not the problem.
Who the hell are you people to ASSUME what Nick thinks about and what he doesn't think about. He is a young boy and he has to live with this tragedy the REST of his life!!! As far as his friend, another poster hit it on the head earlier, he knew what they were going to do when he got in that car. He had a mouth and he could have spoke up & said SLOW DOWN! Probably wasn't his first rodeo. I am not blaming anyone. It was an accident and BOTH boys are paying for it. One maybe more than the other but they are both paying and you need to stop & think before you judge or assume! And I bet most of you "parents" with kids with cars, I bet you don't know half the crap they do out there on the roads.

nick deserves punishment, he killed his friend for doing something stupid. nick deserves to spend at least 20 years in prison
