Hmmmm, people with dementia typically do stuff like that. Walk around, disheveled and confused. Confusion causes temper tantrums to happen, even when the person usually has the most mildest of temperaments.
Oh, how sad. I hope he's ok. Didn't any bystanders offer assistance or did they just snap pictures. What a sad commentary on society if no one did the right thing and help a fellow human being in their time of need. Mr. Falk, I hope you're going to be OK. God Bless . .
He is OBVIOUSLY in distress! I love elderly people. I sure hope he is OK now. You never know what happened inside that made him run out like that. Maybe he found out a loved-one died, or something terrible like that. OR maybe he has dementia....for which there is medication, usually.
Is it really necessary to show an elderly gentleman in distress? He may be a star and out in public, so I guess you feel he's fair game, but this is a cheap shot. Leave the man alone and try to give him some dignity. He is obviously having some serious age-related issues.
Columbo always reminded me of my father, rest his soul, so I think I get particularly sensitive when I see someone making fun of him. I hope he is OK and his family steps up to the plate to take better care of him.

I've seen him on Roxbury in Beverly Hills several times outside of my office. He's never looked that deranged before. Normally, he looks rather put-together.
