1. I think this is great. The man, the dog and the monkey look happy and healthy and I can just imagine what happiness they bring to people. Even when a dog is trained, the spirit is broken a little - for that matter when a child is trained to eat proper foods, use the toilet, watch before crossing the street the spirit is broken a little. These are just two beautiful, trained animals who bring joy to many. Many blessing to the man and his dear animals.

2. Does anyone actually see the straps holding the monkey that some of these people are whining about, I don't? Like any domesticated animal (this monkey has been with the owner for close to 20 years), these animals have been trained by their owner to do this; no different than agility or show dogs. Most kids probably wish they were treated as good as these animals are.

3. Hmmm.... I seem to remember we allegedly "evolved" from monkeys... so if we can smile and enjoy riding horses and cows in rodeos, why can't they. What exactly is it "monkeys by nature" are supposed to do? For that matter, what exactly are we "by nature" supposed to do? I somehow doubt that by nature we are intended to do a lot of things, yet we do, and we enjoy them! Why can't the monkeys! Maybe YOU are the one that is cruel to animals by depriving them of wordly pleasures that we so enjoy!

5. there is absolutely no indication that these pets are mistreated but you, in your astute wisdom, say this monkey has been beaten, drugged, coerced, tortured, manipulated, tricked & forced into this behavior-what qualifies you to judge this monkey, this dog & their loving owner/trainer? Sadly, you are actually weakening the fight against animal cruelty with this stupidity-to compare actual< horrible animal torture to this is past absurd. You have twisted something legitimate that MILLIONS of people care deeply about&are NOT HELPING with such comments as "monkey's by nature dont ride dogs". Dogs by nature chase, catch & kill rabbits, squirrels, cats, other dogs, etc. so if we in any way alter their nature they are being manipulated?Find yourself another cause please, because you are an embarrassment to mine.

6. To the imbecile saying monkey's by nature dont ride dogs-have you ever been on an airplane cause humans by nature dont fly either-go protest that- if it is not natural it must be torture? You people need to re-examine your ideas & save your energy for real animal mistreatment cases because when you cry foul over something like this it weakens the credibilty of true activists.

7. I think the little monkey AND the beautiful border (so gorgious -- look at his coat! very happy puppy) are taken care of. That monkey looks a lot more comfortable riding the dog than I've seen humans riding horses. What's the difference? If anything, it's the dog that's being exploited -- it's doing all the work!!!

12. Ahh so cute! The monkey looks cooler on dogback than ANY human can look on horseback!! Hahaha And i agree with some people, if the monkey didn't want to do what it is doing or was being mistreated, it would be going BERSERK!! Lol silly people. Always have to try to ruin a fun situation. Losers. They're probably just jealous the animals have more talent than them. :)

13. I have personally seen these monkeys perform at shows - they are a delight to see and kids go absolutely nuts!! These monkeys are the cutest and are treated humanely. If they weren't the Rodeo Association would not endorse them. They would have too many PETA people on their butts!! Love the smiles!! And matching outfits!!

14. His legs are covered because he's wearing chaps! It's a part of the outfit and not a tool to cover up monkey abuse. I doubt Justin Boots would endorse monkey chaps if they were used to hurt animals. :) Go hug a mini-panda PETA rejects.
