• 76. He was a idiot and sorry to say, he played this game and this is the consequences of it. He cheated on his wife with this young girl and she killed him. She wanted to be his wife and he probably led her on making her think that was going to be the case. I feel bad for his 5 children that are left with embarrassment and confusion. He has 4 children with his wife and 1 child with another woman that he was cheating with. So go figure

• 77. McNair was an idiot, and Sahel, nothing but a whore. That's all there is. No matter what good he did, describing him as a martyr and praising him as a do-gooder is pathetic - look at how he ruined his wife and kids' lives with his selfishness and stupidity. Taking photos with his whore that the whole world can see now. His kids will be taunted in school and his poor wife will be laughed at too. Hope Steve and Sahel burn in hell which is what they deserve, especially her, the little slut.

• 78. Mr. Blount and Dwayne, I feel very sad that you think that all black men feel the way you do. By your very hurtful statements, one would think that black men have no idea what true love really is. If I were a non-black female, I wouldn't allow a black man near me if I thought I would be used as an "object" just to look at and touch. I would want to be loved for who I am, not what I am. I am engaged to a white man who truly loves me and is not dissatisfied in any way. As usual, men like you have lost the meaning of the subject matter and are using this to further beliefs that are best left in your minds. I pray that the families of these two people will come through this and go on with their lives the best way they can. Mrs. McNair now has to be the "strong black woman" and care for her 4 sons alone. Hopefully, one day she will find love again with a man who is really ready to be a husband and father. Whatever his race.

• 79. One last thing: some people commented that we are not to judge. I absolutely agree. But his wife reportedly seemed to be oblivious to this affair. It would have been "nice" for Steve to say this is what I need/want to do r u okay with this? (since so many people are talking about how "nice" he was) Although, it may not be our thing there are alot of open relationships. This help to prevent things like this from happening. It is what it is.

• 80. Please Please PLEASE read Don's comment! What he says is TRUE. Also, I am a "told" that I am a beautiful Black female. Unfortunately, this particular lover was of a different race than Steve, so small-minded people AUTOMATICALLY ASSUME that this was the deciding factor. It has been reported that Sahel followed another woman home that she suspected he was "cheating" on her with;therefore, the so-called "forbidden fruit" was not the $#!T!!!! What we must realize is that ANY woman (or man:-) Outside of his intimate marital relationship was the "forbidden fruit"! I am sure that with the right questions it will be proven that Steve "tasted" ALL types of fruit!!!

• 84. Thank God Steve's love filled eyes were closed and it has been determined he was asleep when the lovesick Jenny shot him. At least his last memories were being with the woman he loved and NOT his old wife. Don't you know he was glad of that. RIP Steve

• 85. As a black man, I'd like to defend what Dwayne said about white women being the "forbidden fruit". A black woman commented that he was wrong and that black women were considered the forbidden fruit. Well, this might be true in literary terms, but from a black man's point of view a beautiful light skinned woman with gorgeous light eyes and long, soft hair is what has been MANY black men's forbidden fruit. Certainly not a black woman. Even if I came from a black woman and have sisters who are black women, does not change my mind, as far as what I think is truly beautiful. I'm an older man now and I've longed to gaze into light colored eyes and touch silky, long hair, but resisted the urge. All black men that I was raised around and associated with think the same, whether they'll admit it or not. Even my father, who has passed, discussed this with me. To a black man, whiter skin & pretty light eyes are the most beautiful and coveted.

• 86. I mourn for the mother of this young lady. I have a daughter who is growing up rather nicely and often tell her that she needs no validation from a man, but I also remember being 20. I do question the maturity level of McNair. Why would a man that old deal with someone so young? Kinda sick. Yes, she's 20, young and beautiful, but are we that superficial as a society. That was so unfair for him to play mind games with her. All women want to be loved, no matter how young or old. We should take more time to consider the effects our actions may have on others. He was probably going through a mid-life crisis and should've taken time out from himself to "regroup." Maybe, this will serve as a good lesson for other young adults and middle-aged adults. Plus, it's probably best to stay within one's own age group. Sixteen years is a big difference.

• 90. Nashfan, your comment reflects the sad state of affairs, literally. I suppose most men cheat and when they don't they are assumed too.Surely he knew the risk, otherwise he would not have hid it from his wife. More spouses are murdered over infidelity than any other reason. This is common knowledge and for that fact alone, why not just divorce if you want to play the field? It's so much easier and lessens the risk. In this case it was simply a young woman who could not deal with an experienced older man. He knew the game well and she was a rookie. Not a fair playing field to begin with, was it? Of course most men would opt for a younger woman interested in them, it boosts the ego but it also carries an added risk of unpredictability. As with age one learns how to cope with varied situations and disappointments. Youth is foolish and impulsive but that is what brought this relationship together, isn't it?
