2. I have been studying Karate my entire life, I have two Black belts and soon to have a third. I dont care what the competiton is doing to your adrenaline and what the situation is, a true martial artist is one that can control himself and his physical actions. You should never ever lose control of your mind and or body because as trained martial artists it is just to dangerous. He should be disqualified and Banned from future competition.

3. As a martial artist, I must say that it's pretty funny yet horrible ass sportsmanship that ol' boy did that to the ref. There were PLENTY of times I wanted to kick the ref in the face when I competed because of his lame ass calls and points, but I wouldn't actually do it. I'd rather lose than get disqualified.

His actions deserve the criticism and outrage thats been voiced, but it's also important to understand that the rules and protocols for sport tkd are seriously beyond stupid...which is why olympic tkd is in danger of being kicked out in favor of another sport. For an athlete to compete all his/herl ife for a shot at gold to suddenly have it taken away by a ref who's percieved as not know wtf they're doing in a tkd sport system thats idiotic anyway is a hard pill to swallow. You can see on his face after the kick, he knew he messed up big time lol.

8. I agree that race has nothing to do with it. I spared for over a decade against all styles of karate, and against all races of men. What I found is that when your adrenaline is pumping and your synapses are firing all at one time in the heat of competition, it is possible to make a mistake in judgement when you believe that you have been wronged for a point or been "tagged" by your opponent and the ref didn't see it. Depending on your frame of mind you or your opponent may make a move in retaliation that is beyond questionable and puts your honor at risk - especailly in full-contact karate. I think this was just such a moment. I believe he should have chosen another path and that he now regrets his decision.

9. it's not about being a true black belt or whatever is the fact that they train for yrs and yrs they make it to the Olympics and some !@?#$ fucks everything up, you lose your temper its just not fair,and the color does not matter it could happen to anyone, having a problem with the race it just show how ignorant you are.
