• 76. I don't watch the show, but people pick and choose what they want to voice there opinions on. Racism still exsist in plenty of places in America. Let's tackle real issues like Jena Six. Who gives a damn about what was said.

• 77. Some people have to bitch and moan about everything. I bet PETA did not adopt one of the animals Vick abused nor any other animal up for adoption. I wish they would stop trying to make something out of nothing. We all have the right to say what we feel and PETA really need to get a grip and recognize. I live in the South and while I was not aware of any dogfighting down here I am not offended by Whoopi's comment. Trust me we have far more to be concerned about than what someone says or thinks about us. PLEASE GET A GRIP PETA AND FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!

• 79. Whoopie meant well. Maybe people should drive through any part of Louisiana and see all the homes and shacks along any road and count the Fighting Roosters (Cock Fighting) lean to's that are plainly visable from the road. They represent Cock Fighting at is's best. All are involved in the fights and gambling that goes with it. Wake up! It's rampant all over the country and more predominate in other parts. Do is dog fighting. I don't condone it but it's big business. Michael Vick I do not and have liked but he's a scapegoat for the law to try to make an example of. Been going on for years in all parts of the country. They fly dogs all over to participate. How do they get by the Airlines? Stupid sheep following morons in this country. Wow, it's all new to them!

• 80. Who the hell cares! I'm sick and tired of the radical extremist right wing culture, who believes that it is Anti-American to have an opposing view on any social issue. Yes, I agree with Whoopi! Michael Vick is clearly over persecuted! Why the hell is the PETA so conspicuously silent in the Jena, Louisiana, where six black males are being prepared for lynching by a racist and overzealous prosecutor? Could it be, perhaps, PETA believes an animal life is worth more than blacks people in general.

• 81. People who live in glass houses shouldnt throw rocks! DDDAAA! Race/color if blue green white or black has absolutely no place in the Views views! Get a life and stop playing the race card. Frankly I love or respect all races no matter who or where they are from. I do feel that blacks bring on more problems upon themselves by constantly bringing race in to every thing happening. It is long past do for us all to make peace with each other and start working together to solve serious problems.The Congress and Senate could put this advise to good use also. Respectfully; WRH

• 82. For all of you that think that this this take by Whoopi actually has some validity, just read the Federal Indictment against him. Part of the indictment, oh and by the way Vick has plead guilty to, states that they owned certain equipment for dogfighting. One of which was described as a "rape stand". This is what Vick used to tie the head of the female dog to the ground as her backside was up in the air and to reduce her agressiveness, the male dogs would rape her again and again until Vick and his boys would stop it. Interesting that this moron Whoopi can attach that behavior to the area in which Vick grew up. PATHETIC! And these other genuises on the show have no intelligent answer to this moron at all.

• 84. i dont watch the view anymore because my favorite rosie is no longer there. she made the show .! who i thought should of left or got rid of ""elisabeth hasselbeck"". shes nobody. besides.......if she was a true friend she would of had rosies back. uknow....be beside her thru thick or thin.

• 85. I believe PETA should back off of Whoopi. Why is it that in America, where we are supposed to have freedom of speech, everytime anyone speaks out, someone wants to condemn them. She only said that that sort of thing is fairly common in the south, she never said that it was acceptable there or anywhere else for that matter. Whoopi was only expressing a little understanding and compassion. She never said that cruelty to dogs was acceptable. Even if she had, she has a right to her opinion and I believe that PETA should respect that and move on to people who not only believe cruelty to animals is ok, but participate in it as well. I believe that what Michael Vick has done is wrong, but Whoopi Goldberg has done nothing wrong.

• 87. Only in america...and only if your not white. I wonder if the "great reverend Jackson and Sharpton" will jump in and protest with PETA on the STUPID AND IGNORANT STATEMENT that Whoppie (great name by the way) made on The Veiw about "people and there culture in the south". Does that means that white people can remain racist because its deep seated in there culture?.....give me a break. I liked how the other outspoken women on The View just kept there little mouths shut about her comment.....Also...anyone see the roast on Flavor Flav? There were many big names on the show and in the audience. It still amazes me that when people used the word @$?!# that they say "the n word" yet all those high profile blacks were throwing it around like it was exceptable. Wake up America to the double standard!!!!!!!!
