I think nilda in her own way was trying to make a statement about unwed mothers. WAKE up people, this is not the 1950's. It's easy to condemn the mothers but nobody is talking smack about the fathers, it does take TWO. I am 34 year old and I have four children. They have three different fathers. I am married to the father of my two youngest. But he doesn't get along with my boys, so he moved out. I work a full time job like most people. I go to school full time and I take care of my children. I am so tired of people putting down unwed mothers. I don't count on anyone else to take care of my children. It's my responsibility. I only make a little over 20,000 a year but my children have Nike and Arizona. Can you imagine what Jamie Lynn's child will have? It's like the taxpayers will be supporting her child, so stop talking trash about her and let her live her life.

Dear gogetem-Ok to the idiot who says it is cutesy-ing it up by calling it asingle mom and that being married is not as important as it used to be. Who do you think you are? I was raised by my mom and an abusive Dad and would have been better off without him. Also dont try saying that I dont hold marrige sacred either becase I am on my third child with my HUSBAND all three were had while married. Some people who are judgeing girls (only for some reason) need to relize some of the time the kids are better off being raised by single parents. Why is no one commenting about the guys involved.

ok to the person who wrote the comment on february 12th under the name "Jessica", are you proud that you had a baby at the age of 15? your body is still developing..having a baby at that young of an age plus a 3rd one on the way??? i say you may end up having like 5 kids by the time you are 30 years old. also you should at least wait over a year before you plan on having another baby...your body needs time to recover from being pregnant and delivery a baby (yes even if you had a C-section) here's just something you may want to take into consideration: BIRTH CONTROL and CONDOMS, or KEEP YOUR LEGS CLOSED!!!
P.S. people please learn how to spell. if you don't know how to spell something: USE ANY MICROSOFT PROGRAM!! IT SHOULD TELL YOU THE CORRECT SPELLING OF A WORD...OR JUST LOOK IT UP IN THE DICTIONARY
finally calling it like it is--unwed mother. Cutesy-ing it up for years now as 'single mom' takes away the seriousness of having a baby and the depth of the responsibility. Proven fact that kids are better off in a two parent household...what is a sad state of affairs, kids with no father in the picture, or men becoming disposable, basically. May be sounding old fashioned but at least getting married used to be important and things were better then. People actually worked at it.
Well put, Steve! Take the person who commented after you (nilda), for example. Pregnancy at the age of 16 also leads to lack of education, apparently...BTW, Nilda, darling, you should really learn to spell before you post a comment about how an unwed 16-year-old mother should be a role model for America's youth!
i dont think it is bad for her to be pregnent a baby i great. i was 16 when i got pregnent it happend people so stop being bitchy to her. having a kid doesnt mean your life is over. you i look up to her now because she is going to have that kid and was i big role modle. well you this happens everyday in life so i think more girls will look upi to her.
For most teens pregnancy is a one way ticket to welfare and poverty. It surely isn't the way to become mature. Maturity is about making mature decisions. Anyone who is planning on being a parent at 15 or 16 surely isn't making mature choices. I remember the terms girls were called in the past who were easy. Calling them unwed mothers is a big move forward.
Jamie is a disgrace to all teens who are suppose to be a roll model. She even has the gall to say she doesn't know how it happened. Well DUH,keep your pants on and your legs closed, stupid. You get what ever you deserve as far as the Zoey 101 show goes. I hope your sorry ass gets FIRED. !!!
it is now 2008. when are we going to stop referring to children born to unwed parents illegitimate? it is unfair to call or refer to the child as illegitimate. every child is legitimate. each child deserves to be here just as much as the other. it isn't the child's fault that he/she is born to unwed parents. it's the parents fault. and if a woman is raped and becomes pregnant and carries and births the child then it is neither their faults. this is no longer the 1900's this is 2008 and we need to be more open minded about single parenting and how we refer to and which terms we use to refer to children born to "unwed" mothers. just call it children born to or adopted by single parents. let's get with the program here. i am outraged by the choice of words and speech here.
love,

Okay, it's not an intelligence thing, it's a typing thing. I meant to say, it's not like the taxpayers will be paying for her child.
