• 18. No woman really wants to have a baby out of wedlock. Most women who spread their legs for a man would prefer to have a commitment from him. They just usually don't get one.

• 20. Nanlisa - I am offended by your assertion that because certain things go against the teachings of the catholic church that they are wrong and should be condemned. I am a recovering Catholic, and after years of listening to other catholics pat themselves on the back for being perfect, and touting catholicism as the perfect religion, it is obvious by the headlines (hundreds of priests molesting thousands of children)that not only is that not true, but you catholics need to get over yourselves. Quit pushing your beliefs on the rest of us. We don't care if you want to worship turnips, but we don't want to hear about how your turnip/God is against everything and we're all sinners on the fast-track to hell. Trust me, your priests will get there before any of us will.

• 24. I am very amused. Who says just because there is no legal document that someone isnt married? Before government go involved in marriage, who said someone was or wasnt married? Why does someone need to be married according to mans law to be married according to Gods law? I am married, but if I didnt have a piece of paper from our government saying I am married to my husband, in Gods eyes, I am married. So, who are we as humans to say who is actually married and who isnt? Think about it.

• 25. ok so teens are going to make stupid decisions, granted. But you cant put generalizations like "if you have a child at as a teen you are ignorant, and you child is going to be ignorant." you are ignorant for saying things like that. One bad choice can change your whole plan, but no matter what you love that child, it doesnt matter if you are 16 or 32 when you have it, it is still a part of you. As long as the child is taken care of, then i dont think its anyone elses business. People need to learn to stop buggin out about what is going on with other people and stay in their own life. Oh, and i think Jamie Lynn will be an amazing mom. Brittany knows what not to do, and she wont let her little sister make the same mistakes she did.

• 26. These young woman are very impressionable! Take an honest look at yourself or your spouse/partner.. Then cast the first stone! The bible is a storybook.. about how the ideal way to live is or ought to be! I believe, single moms should be applauded and shame on those whom ignore this! Men/boys are dogs! Girls can be stupid, at moments.. but should not to be treated as if! Woman are our best resource! We should target the ignorance and selfishness of men, whom prey on woman! Always inflicting "NO" and not explaining! That's not teaching! People, its a vicious cycle we perpetuate by mocking when it occurs and pointing fingers! Target and study the core intentions-values-of our young men! Because, Britney..Nor Jamie got into this mess by themselves!

Also except for the Rhythym Method/Natural Family Planning, all other forms of birth control are clearly against the teachings of the Catholic Church. Our society has seemed to have gotten away from God's laws and living lives on their own terms. Look what we have as a result of this: out-of-wedlcok births, divorce, fornication, AIDS, herpes, and other sexually transmitted diseases; broken families. America is facing judgment if we don't turn back to God. (Read II Chronicles 7:14) Parents should teach their kids that all sex outside of marriage is wrong and to save themselves until the wedding night. This may be 2009, but God's laws never, ever change. Jesus Christ is the same: yesterday, today, and forever. Turn away from sin and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

• 29. Complex societies and the English Language are basically unfair. Show a hospital nursery to a Doctor, a Lawyer, and a Minister and say, "Three of these babies are bastards. Which ones ?" We call the unwed mother any number of unpleasant names, whether justified or not. The unwed father, on the other hand, often not only evades criticism, but in some cases is admired as a "stud !" The difference is not in 's Right or Wrong, but in whose consequences are out where people can see them. And the wholly innocent baby has no defense at all. It might help if the rest of us weren't so lazy, we'd rather follow the crowd than feel and think for ourselves.

• 30. If you people would understand the history and concept of marriage, you would then know that marriages used to be a verbal commitment to one another. Only up until religion got involved around the 15th century, it was just that. Later one, law got involved and marriages were required to be registered, hence the term a couple is only maried once it is "put on paper." That said, many children are born "out of wedlock" because their parents love each other, but it is just its not accepted or legal by law. Be happy, she did right by her child and by her chosen religion and finally got the "papers" everyone is whining about. Remember, not everyone is religious and has your beliefs, one of our rights we are entitled we have by living in America. The only thing that should matter is that the child is taken care of and has a loving, stable, supportive environment( You should not judge these women or be stereotypical. THAT IS IGNORANCE AND STUPIDITY!
