31. I am offended by some of the comments that have been left here. Just because someone is a single parent does not mean that they or their children are ignorant. You are the ignorant one if you believe that. To Dr. Dave Barnes, somtimes it's not by choice that there isn't a father or husband around. You should ask a single mother sometime why she is single....you might hear some pretty harrowing stories of abuse of all types. I myself am a single mother of twins. I would love to be married and I would for my childrens father to be a part of their lives but putting them into the same abusive enviroment is not a good idea. I have a friend who is also an "unwed mother", she raised her daughter by herself with no government help or help from the girl's father. She just graduated from Indiana University with a master's in fine arts. Please tell me how that's ignorant because I'm having a hard time seeing it. You people have no right to judge what you have no concept of.
32. Single parents always get a bad rap. What about the dead beat fathers that take off while the woman is pregnant??? Its not always the females fault. As to two parent home. Im a single mom, and my daughter has never met her dead beat dad, but she does have two active uncles in her life and a grampa that go way beyond the call of duty when it comes to her.n Teenagers should know better that to immulate the stars.
33. Dear lord, a lot of these women are in loving relationships, just not officially married! I fail to see the problem with that!
U Americans, so weird and hypocrite about that...
It's not because there's no wedding ring that a mother and a father can't be good parents.
And it's not because there is no father (be it for whatéver reason) that a child will automatically be traumatized and raised badly...
U people need to stop being blind and wake up to the real world (which does nót run on idiotic rules made up by religious fanatics and the likes)
36. Just because someone is brought up in single parent home doesn't mean that they are stupid or ignorant. I am a 14 year old girl, I live with only my mom, and I am a straigt-A student. I do well in school, my homework is always in on time, and I have all advanced classes. I also do theater through my high school. I have good friends and I make friends easily. My mom has a good job and went to college. I have never done drugs, drunk alchohol, or smoked and I don't plan on ever doing any of those. My mom raised me just fine. She has always supported and loved me. She's not any less of a mom just because she's single.
37. Firstly i would like to point out that i think this caption qualifies as insulting the dead, shame on you. Also to the ignorant woman below me, single parenthood is not always a choice and children with teenage parents aren't always stupid, i'd like to see who your children grow up to be.
38. If you aren't married, don't have sex. Its not a hard concept to grasp. Children should not be brought up the way they are these days in single parent homes. Especially if you are an uneducated teenager. Please spare us of your ignorant offspring. The last thing we need in the world is more people like yourselves.
39. Isn't that just a great example for teenagers to know and acquire; have children and not be maried....These starlets illustrate such fantastic futures for our children.....Sure, what do they care....because of their stupidity have other teens copy them.......what garbadge to emit to our generation....In plain english....WHAT A BUNCH OF ASSHOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
41. Anyone can make a mistake and have a little one outside of a committed marriage and raise a lovely child alone.. But to say the idea of a Mother and Father is an idea out of the 40's, I beg your pardon, my dear. You just do not know your history. Although
there have always "been affairs" in society from the beginning of time people all over the world have upheld marriage. And they have not they have also eventually met their waterloo when people made up their own rules.
Yes, these are "unwed" Mothers. What's the problem with calling it what it is since there are no rules now and we no longer live in a society of "right and wrong"? Seems like there is a little contradiction here.
42. Why does society frown upon single mothers? How can you sit there and judge people when you don't know their circumstances? My father left my mother for another woman with a 6,4 and 2 year old. My sisters and I are as "normal" as anyone else. 3 great careers and lots of supportive family. Children just need a stable environment, not a Mom and a Dad. I would like to point out that I am happily married and planning on having children and both of my sister's are engaged to great men. We didn't discount men or the importance of fatherhood. My mom worked very hard to give us as "normal" a life as possible and it makes me sick that you can judge her and the great life she made with us, without any kind of government assistance or child support from my father.
43. ...I wonder if any of these " proud moms figured out what caused there pregnancies?.... Seriously, a well rounded healthy child needs TWO parnents- a MOM AND A DAD to develop properly and to be well rounded, not just financially, but emotionaly and spirtitualy. Lots of female types think that they dont need a father/husband for their child, but every serios study and all the research on 2 continents has proven that kids do best witha Mom AND a dad. I feel imcredibly sorry for some of the female types out there who have discounted men and fatherhood-
44. Wow!! All these negitive comments!! How bout this one. I am a 28 year old un-wed mother of a wonderful 8 year old son. And his dad is not around. Probably for the better, with everything he had been through. Point is, I am doing it. I am making it. And I am proud of it. Being an un-wed mother that is. Come take a picture of me TMZ of me, a girl in cold Denver, Colorado lol
45. I will not be reading TMZ in the future. This is a new low with your idiotic, demeaning, judgmental captions for your horrible photographs. I'm sorry I even looked at this site. Never again! It's an insult to mothers, parents and humanity in general.
