• 1. well you gotta give credit to these obscure designers...they were REALLY creative. but this is why i don't wear designer clothing. not because i can't afford it, but because if i like the clothes at target and they make me look good and normal and pretty, i will buy them. know what i'm saying? i wear clothes that i look good in. nothing less, nothing more.

• 6. Art is not just about the visual its about the emotion...positive or negative. So it seems that these 'designers' are quite successful at what they do.

• 7. I don't care if it's considered visual art or not. Crap is crap. Why waste the time and energy to create clothes that aren't meant to be worn just to parade them on skinny people walking down a runway? Even a lot of the stuff meant to be worn is crap being passed off as "fashion". Magazines are filled with stick people wearing clothing no decent self-respecting person with a brain would want to be caught dead in.

Many designers are nothing more than con artists making money off people who are afraid of being thought of as being stupid, so they pretend to like clothes most people wouldn't be caught dead in. Most of the stuff coming down the runway is a waste of fabric. Period. Too bad no one is brave enough to tell these co-called designers the truth about the crap they create and try to pass off as fashion.

• 9. Fashion design is one of the few careers where you can be totally devoid of talent yet, convince people you have it. Many fashion designers remind me of tailors in the story "The Emperor's New Clothes". It's the story of an emperor who is swindled into believing he is being made the finest outfit out of cloth that is invisible to those who are either stupid or not worthy of his position. Most fashion designers are like those swindlers.
