If you have an addictive personality, or a predisposed history of addiction (i.e. you mother, father, etc. were addicts) then YES, one might say weed is and/or can be addiction. My dad is an alcoholic. I tried to drink when I was younger, but could tell that I was at risk by my behavior: i.e. sleeping with whomever, wanting to fight. I wasn't a happy drunk, I was an obnoxious drunk--so I stopped drinking. All those anti-drug, don't smoke pot commercials, literature, etc., that one sees--while it may relate to those who have histories of addiction, IMO it's used as a scare tactic to keep kids from doing drugs. BTW, I am NOT advocating or condoning drug use, you can't get a decent job if you do. Oh well, I guess you could end up being President. BTW, my health (thus far) and my brain cells seem fine. I have dual degrees in English and History, and this was way AFTER I experimented with smoking pot.

i really dont like the cancer arguments, they may be true, but its pointless to use it because just about everything can cause cancer. Cancers are abnormalities in genetic material of cells. As long as there is genetic material inside of a cell it has a chance of becoming cancerous.

I smoke...I'm not a loser or a waste to society. There's nothing wrong with smoking pot. Ppl need to worry about alcohol!!! Once in a while you hear on the news about someone who was wasted and "high" and got into a car accident. the media is so fast to blame "marijuana" but what really fucked them up was being DRUNK! That's one thing you DO NOT wanna mix. Pot + Alcohol is not good. I go to school full time, work and when I come home I light up a joint, relax and have a peaceful evening. There's nothing wrong with it. SOMEDAY WE WILL BE FREE TO SMOKE POT IN PEACE!!!!! Or you can just take a trip to Canada LOL

People who talk crap about people who smoke pot are nothing but ignorant fools. You think you are so smart but your sentence structure and spelling says otherwise. I have smoked alot of weed in my life and I am a good writer and I also get god grades in school. You should not be so concerned with what other people do with their recreational time. Most likely you drink and have been drunk. I have never been drunk and passed out at a party nor have I ever had a one night stand. I can confirm, I am a fit and attractive woman in my early 20s. I just prefered to relax and smoke pot over getting drunk at parties. Once again, you people are morons who need to mind their own business. You don't hear potheads talking crap about other people. Even the ones who don't do anything with their lives are peaceful people. They don't bother anyone. You nosey assholes need to smoke a joint and get a life.

I have smoked alot of pot in my life. I can spell, I write alot of well liked poetry, and I am attempting literature. I also get very good grades in school and I am not a moron like you Sabo. Your english doesn't seem to be very proper either. "Notice how everybody that admits to smoking pot on here can't form an intelligable sentence, or even spell for that matter?" Since when is this a properly structured sentence?? You are an ignorant fool like most people who think they have a good argument against weed. Weed doesn't make a person screw up their life. If someone screws up their life smoking weed, chances are that they would screw up their life without it.

Sativa (vs. Indica) gives you energy, makes it harder to fall asleep sometimes. It's cool until it's all you have to smoke, and then you get tired of the "up" high all the time.

While I'm sure many of the people pictured here are smoking weed, there are probably a few who roll their own and are actually smoking rolling tobacco! I know a large number of cigarette smokers who have switched to hand rolling their smokes both to avoid the nasty chemical additives in cigarettes, and to slow down their habit by adding the step of having to roll each cigarette...plus they tell me rolling tobacco has a better flavor than prepackaged smokes.
